jus' got back from a fun two-day stay in the Georgetown (mostly) and Lexington area. Honey-hunk had an eye doc appointment in Lexington .. and Twigsy had told me to check out the Peddlar's Mall in Georgetown. i got a mos' wunnerful antique doll hutch .. about 4 or 5 dolly chairs .. some vintage sewies .. books (ALWAYS books!) .. and some other treasures that i can't even remember right now! will take some pics and post them soon!
what fun! we headed straight for Georgetown, i shopped PM .. then we had a yummy dinner at Ruby Tuesday's and spent the night in a nearby hotel (within walking distance of Peddlar's Mall .. cuz' i wanted to go back the next morning!) honey hunk went to work out at the hotel gym .. and i crashed and burned!!! got up early this morning .. took a wonderful long walk .. sat on a bench and read one of the FANTASTIC books i got .. ALL creative women should own this book .. i'll write more about it later .. then i shopped peddlar's mall some more (that's when i found the doll step-back cupboard!) it was only $75. but i asked if they could take any less .. they called and left a message .. we went to lunch at at 'cracker barrel' .. i called .. and OH YAY!!!!!!!! .. they only wanted $55. for it .. (i was going to pay the $75. if they didn't want to come down .. heck! i woulda' paid $150. for it!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
NOW .. THAT WAS A 'COUP DE TA'!!!
then we went to the 'antique district in georgetown .. and i found some more dolly chairs (for all the rag chillun arriving at the foundling home!)
then honey h's eye appointment .. now home .. and .. i gotta' go downstairs and UNPACK and REPACK!!!
gonna' hit town tomorrow to do some Art in the Alley errands and Kentucky Quilt Trail errands (oh yay! we've started ours in our county .. and i'm on the 'board' .. ha! and will proably also be a volunteer painter!)
THEN .. OH HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! THURSDAY MORNING .. I HEAD FOR TOLEDO AND THOSE GRANDES!

loved this very cool olde peely green paint bench .. ha! it mataches these 'tattered floors'! will put the bench on the porch of the 'schoolhouse' after we get a tin roof over the porch.
added the two little suitcases on the left on top of the trunk .. one is full of dolly clothes!
