I just saw an ad for a special-edition magazine coming out in 2009 called apron*ology. They are accepting design submissions for original apron patterns; deadline is 9/15/08. The link is below; scroll about halfway down the page.
Since the type is kind of hard to read, here is crucial part of the text:
apron*ology will present a collection of deligtful photoraphs and illustrations featuring exciting apron designs with easy-to-understand techniques and templates that will be fun for the DIY-er to recreate.
Apron enthusiasts are invited so submit and be a part of this exciting publication. Here's what we're looking for: - Aprons of all sizes, styles, and shapes with brief instructions on how they are made. If including a template submit w/tempate designs unique to your apron.

Glad you posted this link..I ran across it a few weeks ago and then forgot it...this will be a cool magazine. I believe they are planning to publish on the topic of aprons frequently. I know there are many ladies here that might be interested in submitting an apron.
