I picked up a couple of winners today. Was real happy with my finds.
The weather today is overcast but the air has that moist balmy thing going on, kind of like being in a green house. So all the windows are open and I'm loving that scent.
I just might go tomorrow and start buying some plants for hanging and for baskets. THE LONG RANGE FORCAST ISN'T SHOWING ANY BIG DROPS IN TEMPS. There are those caps again. I really must learn to type. Or not.

OOOHH! I see now! How nice it all is!! I like to "thrift" shop too, but I have issues with yard sales. Don't know what it is. I guess I don't like to see WHERE the stuff comes from. Thrift stores are so "generic." At yard sales you come face to face with the person who owned the stuff. Is that wierd or what? ~~~Tracy

Nancy Jo, looks like you had a fun day! Can hardly wait until we start yard sales, this is where I get my deals. Oh love the sweet things from Karen too.

Shepherdgirl, I have issues with yard sales too. I feel like I am snooping in peoples stuff and they are all staring at me. My problem I guess.
Nancy Jo, I love the painted pot too. MB

Shepherdgirl and Mary Beth, I think I may have mentioned my yard sale issues...I don't like that, if I don't want anything, I have to walk away---it's VERY hard. I don't want to appear like a snob--but I'm not keen on clothing and that sort of stuff....and around here, there's a trend where they have food for sale (like grilled hamburgers and hotdogs) as well...um, and that creeps me out a bit more!

It's nice to know I'm not alone with the yard sale "creepys!!" I thought I was a FREAK or something!!! My mother-in-law and sisters-in-law LOVE yard sales. They will get up at the crack of dawn and spend all weekend traveling all over the countryside.

My mother-in-law even dragged my husband and our kids yard saling when they went on vacation to Carmel a few years ago. I'm SO glad I didn't go!!! (critters to care for. Someone has to stay home and feed them-- best excuse on the planet!)

Though I DO have to admit, I don't mind going with my husband. We actually find some cool stuff and he LOVES to yard sale like the females of his clan. But I could never go alone.

As for buying FOOD from a yard sale? EWWWWW!!! I could not even imagine it. I have a hard time buying things from a school bake sale! Don't think I could do it at a yard sale. Yes, I have lots of quirks and they only seem to be getting more numerous as I get older. ~~~ Happy yard saling to you ladies who LOVE it. Kudos to you! ~~~ Tracy
