Thank you so much for your b-day wishes! I woke up with a big smile on my face this morning. I had one of the best weekends of my life, celebrating my 55th birthday amongst a dozen or so farmgirls camped out here for the weekend. Every moment was precious and some even more so: stumbling upon Mikegirl and Aunt Emme sitting in the morning sun for a crochet lesson or the evening before, women tatting by firelight; and the food!!!!!! AND DOLL MAKING, or heading into town on Sunday to shop the Renaissance Fair and running into Jaime Whitney, or Jeanette Johnson (she gave us the photo we use for our Sisterhood certificates) arriving late with two peach pies still warm from the oven, and my daughter’s chocolate cake decorated in mint leaves, or the hugs and the kisses, oh my. It was supposed to rain but the sun shone in more ways than one. All is right in the world. I am one happy birthday girl. Now I’m almost on the verge of tears. Mima is still here. I’ll go find her for a recap…

Happy, Happy Birthday Mary Jane...how wonderful to spend it with the people that you care about, eatting many yummy goodies and doing all the farmgirly things that you enjoy....

Happy Birthday Mary Jane! I'm a May birthday too (Mine's today-the 8th). What day in May is yours? It would be awesome if we were bday twins, but if not, it's still pretty cool that we share the same month! Hope you have a blessed birthday this weekend with your family!
