Okay this is my fourth attempt to load a photo, I hope the farmgirl magic is working, cause I can't seem to do this on my own.... These are some old bookends, handmade with felt bottoms and lovely old lamb decals, and a ridiculous vase, which I love....

And I got this map a week or so ago and decided it needed to go in my kitchen and that I would hang some state plates on it. All the plates are really too big, and I won't be able to wedge too many on it, but I think it looks great.....Karin

Really cute finds, Karin. LOVE those bookends. And I couldn't have resisted the vase, either. Very creative idea with the plates, too!

THE BOOK ENDS ARE AWESOME!!
Aren't Sheep The Best!! I have a Sheep Story of course.. but I'll spare you all for the moment..!
I have a thing for them though.. I have this funky little one that I found.. it's like a reverse bobble head.. his legs are stationary.. & the rest of his entire body bobbles.. yeah.. just had to share that..

LOVE the Map Karin! I Have to say though Sister.. um.. Kansas has been blown off course it appears.... & I'm Not quite sure how many more plates your going to fit on there!!!
How about if you start doing like a Spiral effect.. & start working your way out maybe..???

Kathie you are brilliant, i have a dear friend from Kansas and I couldn't wedge my plate in at the right location, that spiral idea is excellent, Now I just have to not fall off the kitchen chair when I'm pounding my nails in, but I found my hammer, so that is a help...Your sheep sounds fabulous, I too love the bobbling loonies...Karin

That's really neat with the state plates. Do you have a Kentucky one? If not, I'll be on the lookout for one. :o)

Thank you for your kind words. I have an Iowa plate, 3 Florida plates, 1 Kansas, 1 MarylaND, ONE YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, whoops, hit the capital button, 1 Missouri that says it is the cave state and I thought it was the "ShowMe" state,1 Texas, and 1 Nebraska. I don't even have a Maine one, they don't sell them around here I guess, probably I would have to go to a more populous area to dig one up. If you, Nancy Jo could find me any other states since YOU are the thrift shop queen, I would love that. And of course be happy to send the purchase price and the postage. I don't know why they cheer me up so much, I have 5 Canada plates I got years ago on summer trips to Prince Edward island, the most beautiful place I've ever been. Of course I never got a PEI one because I guess I thought I'd be going back someday. So thank you very much girls, and do let me know if you discover any treasure,
Karin
