YIPPEE!!
Can't believe it's already been another Year since we had SO much fun with this!
May 14th is National Wear Your Apron Day Girls!
So remember to get those babies out there!!!
Last year we had so much fun finding stories & poems about women that wore them in the past..& what we all were planing on doing for the Day
I for Instance had planned a Pot Luck at Work.. & made EVERYone wear an Apron to work.. ALLLLlll day long! (Even the Guys!) & they Did! Some Girls were talking about t-Shirts & Bumper Stickers..
We decided we needed to have our Apron's fly as Flags that day outside our houses.. AND DID!!!
There are pictures floating around here & there!
Grace.. Mima.. Patricia.. What's the Plan this year Girls?
Any Apron Tricks???
I'll make sure everyone wear's one at work again..
& I'll HAVE to hang an Apron Flag of course!!!

thanks for the reminder! let's ALL jump on this 'band-wagon' .. and wear our aprons, and tell stories about our day .. and post photos. That's the day before i leave for Toledo to visit the grandes .. i'll have to plan a trip 'to town'! xo

I guess this means it is time for me to take the tattered pirate flag off my flagpole and select an apron to fly on it. I just got a nice red Aunt Jemima's pancake one at my favorite junk store, I'll have to do some digging...I have such a large flarpole (gift from a friend) I might just fly two or three or four. Ok.. HERE was our Hokey Picture from Work Last Year..!!! for those of you that Remember.. I even had a contest.. (They had to Guess which one was me!!!) a bit better then half the Team was missing.. We couldn't ALL get over to get in the Picture.. SOME of us actually had to work!!!
plus some people just weren't there that day of course.. as we don't all work the same shifts of course..

Thanks for reminding us Kathie! I have been wearing the aprons that I got from Frannie so I will make sure I wear mine on that day! Maybe to make some extra yummy bread!!

This year you cannot fool us - we know which one you are now, since we met you at Karin's!!!
Talk about wearing aprons on MAy 14....it made me think, how can I wear more than one, since I love all of mine? I thought of my granddaughter who loves to play dress-up, but she puts all her fancy dresses on at once and looks like a big well-padded princess. I could do that with my aprons! I will just pile them all on, one over the other. Do you think anyone will notice? :)

Ohhhh I love aprons!!! The ones I make for sale.... the ones I collect.... the ones I have made for friends and family!! I am so glad to find this tradition here! I am having a neighborhood get together next week......thanks for giving me the idea for a theme!!! What Fun!

I may have to stick to wearing it outside of work. We sometimes have court on Weds, and we are to dress appropriately on court days. But I can wear it at lunch time and after work when I take my evening stroll around town!
