Hi everybody! My name is Caitlin and I am from Arizona. I am turning 22 in May and am a crafter to the bone. I am constantly teaching myself something new, love to find free patterns online, and have so many projects going all at once that I have to make a conscious effort to get at least one of them done every once in awhile. I am working on my first quilt, a Trip Around the World pattern on point, and I am hand quilting it. I also am doing a scarf with thread crochet (the pattern from Maryjane's Stitching Room). I love to crochet snowflake ornaments, sew, scrapbook, and make handmade gifts for my family and friends. I am looking forward to getting to know everybody as I read and post here on the Farmgirl connection.
Though I do not live on a farm, I feel like I should have been born on one. I am married, no kids yet, and we are working on getting my husband's thesis for his master's degree finished. I love gardening, cooking and baking, and making things for our home!

Welcome to the forum! Wow! What a wonderful list of crafts! I hope you will share some pictures of them with us! Hand quilting is such and amazing art! Someday I hope to do a quilt completely by hand- wouldn't that be something!

Welcome! I can't wait to see some pics of your crafts. My daughter and I scrapbook, but we haven't gotten very far yet. I think I need an entire room just to lay all the stuff out! LOL

Thanks for the welcome everybody! I will definitely try to post some pictures of the crafts I complete. I do have some posted on my blog at catydid.multiply.com and you are welcome to go and take a peek. The quilt is certainly a challenge! It took me awhile to figure out how to actually do the quilting, but I am pretty sure I am doing it correctly. I opted to use a quilting hoop rather than the frame, because this way I can sit and watch TV, plus I don't have to take the quilt frame down whenever I need to watch tv or use my front room.
