I'm here! A tornado hit 30 minutes to the west of me and one hit 30 minutes to the east. The one in the west hit the Target right next to my doctor's office - glad I didn't have a prenatal appt yesterday!

A tornado also hit about 10 minutes from here and lifted a double wide off its foundation. Yikes.

We just got a ton of rain.

Hey gal pals! Nance from France (me, or moi) is from Norfolk, VA and we are still happily hanging out in Norfolk. Big weather today for Mother's Day, also. We had my folks and some gal pals of mine whose moms have passed on.....I love sharing my mom when I can. Anyway we all had a great afternoon together before the raindrops started falling in earnest! Some lightning and thunder in early evening so hubby and I cut the lights and sat in the living room with candlelight and listened to the storm pass over. Northeastern North Carolina got it alot worse than we did, and I hope everybody is ok....no injuries reported on the news, only some property damage and limbs down, thank the Lord. Happy Mother's Day and hugs to all! Nance

Hey girls, I'm checking in to let you know i didn't get blown away. The closest tornados were about an hour east of here although we spent most of the day in a tornado watch with crazy winds and thunderstorms. I believe in global warming!

W're okay, too, just a lot of limbs down in the yard... more aerobic exercise for me but no damage, thankfully.

I live in Floyd but I work on the other end of the state in Fredericksburg. I was at work when the tornadoes hit, they hit about 20 minutes away. Two nurses that I work with lost their homes that night. Here is a link to some of the pictures from the damage. http://fredericksburg.com/News/Web/2008/052008/stormpics/index_html?qstart=1
Thankfully no one in their family's were injured. Nothing hit at home thankfully.
