I was talking to a friend today about an idea I have had rolling around in my head for about two years now. The concept is that you send out request forms to a body of women asking them to choose a topic they would like to have a seminar on. The subject could be anything under the sun that interests them from how to cope with being newly divorced to starting your own business, to learning to knit, or gourmet cooking classes, whatever. I would get one or more speakers or instructors and create the seminar.
How does that sound? Is it something that would interest you? Please let me know I am taking a quasi-survey.
Diane, I think that's an excellent idea. Where would you hold the classes? Is there a place you could do it for a reasonable fee or free? Remember insurance too. You never know.. This is a great idea and something that might fly in our town as well.

I am glad you think it's a good idea too. As for insurance, I had been thinking of holding the seminars at a wellness center in our neighborhood (just renting the room for the day). This would negate insurance, I believe, because the facility would be insured and would be responsible for anything that occurred. I think this idea would be great anywhere. You also get a good reading as to what really interests people in your area.
