Nora has the sippy cup down kind of- as long as she is laying down. And she is the master at drinking out of cups with straws. But I really want her to progress to the next stage where she will be drinking from a real grown-up cup.
Also I am a sucker for tea cups of any size or shape! I was the lucky recipient of another farmgirl's generosity and have two tea sets- one is dolly size only- and the other is for either kids or maybe cabbage patch dolls?
Either way, I decided to have a tea party for Nora! We set up a little "table" with a milk crate, a book and a cloth napkin for table cloth, and a few pillows for seats. Then I brewed some lovely chai tea with sugar and set up the tea sets. One for Nora and I and one for the dollies!
We had "nibbles" of cheese sticks and turkey meat and milk in our tea! It was wonderful! And Nora did great with drinking out of the cup! I had to help her but afterwards she was practicing with the empty cup. We are going to have to do this every day I think because she is going to get that cup down flat!
Then afterwards-- It was SOOO cute...She was trying to help her favorite baby doll drink out of her cup and was trying to feed her bits of the turkey! It was SOOO darling!!!
Alee We would love to!! My hubby lived in Montana for a while & has declared that we will someday either move out west or to ND(he loves that unchartered territory). Our big problem is trying to find someone to watch 5 dogs(some with less than stellar personalities..not my Dane of course; she is the best) & 2 Nubies!! I keep eyeing some of the teens in church that are in 4H for potential animal/house sitters. If we find someone to do that..Nora better watch out..kisses will be a flyin!
