Does anyone else feel that they aren't being "self" satisfied with their job? I recently have realized that this is where I am at. I can't imagine being with my current job until retirement( a long time from now). The only thing is that the pay and benefits are pretty good for my area. So it's hard to leave that. Plus, I wouldn't know what else to do. I would love to be more creative. Actually, have more time to be creative is more like it. Just a thought. Maybe someone out there has been in my situation and has suggestions.

Erin . .this is a personal journey where only you can truly discover what will make you happy. There are wonderful books by professionals that have been written to help you along this path. Check your local library and book stores.
ONLY TAKE THE ADVICE OF HAPPY, POSITIVE-THINKING PEOPLE .. OR .. I PROMISE YOU .. YOU WILL ONLY BE BOGGED DOWN BY ANY NEGATIVITY .. and your quest for happiness in your job (or any other part of your life) will only be slowed down and possibly you might even get caught up with negative ways and dragged down further.

Erin, I so feel where you are... 8 months ago, I left a career - literally went in one day and thought.. "I simply cannot do this one more day"...and handed in my resume' - while I wouldnt recommend that as a "life strategy" I would say this....1) sometimes, you really are just on the wrong path 2) while other times you are just tired and need more balance............Looking back, I loved what I did (although you couldnt have convinced me in the moment)... I was just doing it 70 hours a week.. and it was sufficating everthing else out...I have spent the last 8 months finding balance.. and oddly enough, some of that is doing the same thing I was doing... but now I also do alot more of the things I love... and it all works some how. I look forward in hearing where you find your "balance"....
