I was in high school in the 60s too. In the late 60s I had long straight blond hair. But many of my classmates looked like you! Your hubby's pic looks like all the boys in my class looked.
I looked like the girl on Mod Squad..skinny LOL

I remember mini dresses coming out but we couldn't wear anything showing our knees! We couldn't wear pants to school at all. I was in public school.

I was thinking about the not wearing pants to school the other day. I remember standing waiting on the bus in the winter with my skinny legs(yes I had skinny legs at one time) turning blue in the cold wind. Finally in high school they let the girls wear pant suits. They had all sorts of rules how the top had to be so long and match the pants. Then around senior year we were wearing jeans and army jackets and looking really hippy. That was in the early 70's.

we could wear jeans in high school in d.c. .. don't remember any 'restrictions' especially. i graduated from high school in 1959 .. so .. by the sixties .. i had already started my 'career'. ha! i remember that dress and bow! i think it was a 'headband' that came with the dress.
i had LOTS of pretty clothes and shoes and purses when i worked. i loved wearing different outfits every day. it was a really fun time of my life.
i'll have to see if i have any 'high school' photos in our HUMONGUS boxes and boxes and boxes of photos.
let's see some of you gurlz! xo

Frannie, I was a 60's girl also...Your pictures brought back some memories.....I had the teased hair and I, like you, can't remember getting it done taking any time. we just did it.....Did you sleep in rollers? I did and I had some the size of beer cans--some people used the beer, frozen orange and coke cans.
Your husband is very good-looking.
All my pictrues are in the attic. I am going to have to go on a 'fishing mission'.
thanks again for the memories.

Rene, I graduated in the 80's as well. Here is a photo of my best friend and I on my 18th birthday. I'm the one with the lighter hair.
