Ok ladies I have chosen partners...hope they work. Sorry I had to weight (pun) to find out what goals we all had. Just by fate a few didn't match up perfectly but ce la vie.

Willowtreecreek & Melissa Ann you have the same goal
Joyfulmama & Lainey you have about the same goals
Bohemiangel & KYgurlsbest we are sorta on the same page my goal was less but eh I could go for more hehe
Mumof3 & Corporatefarmgirl you two have similar goals
Yiberryyadeekarn & Tina Michelle you two are on the same page
Alee & Prosserfarmgirl same page
Createmyworld & Plumcreekmama you two are slightly different for goals but will do well with eachother!!

OK GIRLIES HAVE FUN! I'll start a new thread for us xxoo

Ok I'm asking that all of us that want to lose weight or at least get physically fit in whatever way diet and exercise let's all pair up! We can post here about it or well the health section if the mod would rather. I just thought it could be more fun with a large group but paired up to have more individual attention. Any takers? I loved all the advice and support on my post. I want to have an ongoing thread to talk about this issue and our ups and downs.

I'll pair up with you! I ahve been waging a losing battle against my body lately. Maybe if I have a friend that I can "report" to about what happens, good or bad, I will be more inspired. :)

I'll join in. I haven't lost the weight from either of my two kids, plus my eating has gotten way out of control.

I would love to be paired up with someone with 100 plus pounds to lose- I am following the McDougall plan with an emphasis on greens and green smoothies. I could use all the support I can get. I have to get this weight off..

Debra- that sounds interesting. I love greens. I've never had a green smoothie, but it sounds like something I would like. I want to lose at least 80 pounds.

well .. i need ALL YA'LL to 'kick me in the butt' and make me do some 'aerobic' exercises for a healthy heart!
DAILY WALKING would be GOOD!!! (ha! DAILY being the 'operative' word there!

are we going to 'pair' up .. or all jus' join in together in a 'thread' .. encouraging each other and reportin' on how we are doin' with healthy eating and daily exercise?

i'd rather have it a 'whole gang' thing .. then i won't find myself being 'remiss' in keeping in touch .. what with the travellin' and roamin' that i do.

if you mean to do the 'buddy system' .. i'll jus' peek in and consider that you are all 'talkin' to me'!! xo

p.s. GREAT idea darlin'!

For best weight loss you should eat as much greens as you can while still feeling satisfied.. for me- that means green smoothies- the addition of lots of bananas helps me be able to eat a lot of greens in my smoothies- about 2 lbs a day but a minimum of 1 lb is optimal..
I start by blending up 2 bunches of greens- I have to do this in 2 batches and pour off- add enough water to blend. Then I fill the blender half way with the green goo and add about 6 bananas. blend up- pour half off and fill blender with frozen strawberries- or other frozen fruit. then add enough water to blend up- stir up all that you have blended.. keep in the fridge and drink through out day. I find I am hardly hungry other than these smoothies- I also add some sunflower seeds and flax seeds.
Go to Dr McDougall .com to read more about his diet- it is a plant based diet- I just consume more greens than he recommends.

The smoothies sound doable, but I'm not sure I want to go vegan. I have been vegetarian before, but I'm not sure it would fit my lifestyle now.

I agree with Frannie-I would like to be in a group thing as opposed to partners, but I'll join in either way.

I would like to join in. I always seem to give up on even trying to diet due to lack of some sort of support. I would like to loose around 70 lbs.

CHeck out the book- The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose. Basically it is raw and vegan until dinner- so you could do green smoothies until dinner then a light low fat dinner.

Tina, don't feel bad about posting your weight goal. I need to lose about 30 lbs, and on my frame, that's alot to have gained. I'd like to be back where I was when I met Justin (around 112), I'm at 139 now.

I'd be glad to join in too, now that school is almost over I'll soon be getting back to devoting time to exercise... and with summer coming, my diet will be getting much healthier. I have about 50 lbs I'd like to shed, but I plan to keep the focus more on toning and building up muscle and how my clothes fit than what the scale says. I am with Frannie in that it'd be best for me to do the group thing as lately I have only had time to pop in on here once a week and very briefly at that... and I would feel like I was letting my partner down if I didn't check in more often than I am able... great idea to do this Bridget, it always helps to have more support in losing weight, Thanks!!

I am up for being paired up- we also have a great Monday Weigh in Thread down in the health section that has been going so some time. I need to get new scale to be able to weigh in again. Watching the numbers seems to help me keep motivated as long as only step on once or twice a week.

do we have to say what our start weight is?
or can we just say..I lost x amount this week.
cause I really don't want to have to say what I currently weigh..I mean its really yucky...and yeah..I feel embarrassed by it/how I let it get out of hand....but I'd feel more comfy just putting that I lost x amount this week.would that be o.k.?
I have all of my weight watcher books that I'll be using..that program when I was a member worked well for me.

Ok we have a total of 12 if I counted right including myself. I have some that are easy to pair up. If anyone else would like you be a part we'll need to close it up soon so as of tonight it will close. But if we get more people interested we can try to find you a match. Also if you haven't already said how much you want to lose or anything that might make you want to be with someone more than another because of something in common let me know ASAP. You don't have to tell everyone what you way Tina, if you feel like you want to go ahead. Once you have a buddy if you feel more intimate you can share that with them. I am feeling embarrassed of mine lately too! I think it'd be nice to post once we're started what you've lost or gained. What you did for exercise and diet. If there is anything that worked for you and that others might like. Sound good ladies?

Alee I know about the weigh in and I did that a few times till we got a new scale and now I'm FAT on our new one :-o so I quit HAHAHA.

I'm in but I'd rather not pair up as I'm not always able to get online as much as I'd like and don't want to let anyone down :) If it's a group thing I'm in! *~* I would like to lose about 35 pounds and get myself back out an walking every morning so it would be great to feel "accountable" for it - maybe motivate me ;)
Let me know if this works out and good luck to everyone *~* Farmgirls can do ANYthing, never doubt it *~*

Sissy would you rather be on your own as a big group of us or maybe if you get a partner you all could talk on the phone or email or write letters? This is what I was having in mind more intimate with a partner than a huge group but SHARE our findings and trials and tribulations. :)
