My last three paps were abnormal - atypical squamous cell - I have had them like this before and then they revert back to normal. Anyway - have to have colposcopy done - nothing inside, just the vaginal walls cause of total hysterectomy but have to check nonetheless. Don't like this test - I liken it to shooting a dart gun up your crotch and then taking a paper hole puncher to take out skin. But have to cover the drs' ass for malpractice - so gals, just think of me and send me positive waves will ya - and a normal colposcopy and biopsies - enough going on in the Enchanted Wood for now. K

ASK FOR HURRICANE GEL!!! It is a numbing agent. One of those drugs that ends with -caine. I have had three, two without, and one with. The one with was a breeze. And don't watch on the monitor, if they offer.

Thinking of you, Kathy and sending you positive thoughts. Gah. What an uncomfortable thing to go through!

Hi, Kathy. I still think of you often when I look at my tin which was filled with treats from you one swap long ago.
I have said prayers for safe procedure with no side effects as well as negative results from the biopsies. I am betting you are clean and good to go!!!! I hope you heal quickly and enjoy the warm weahter these next couple of days.

All nerved up this am for colpo - it is more like the anticipation they make you wait so long in those cold rooms. Dr looked with big microsope, washed the vagainal walls with the acetic solution (vinegar), I wanted Balsamic hehehe - no signs of white patches that would have indicated any bad cells. So, I passed this one. Will need to have another pap as usual in 6 months. But yeah! No biopsies needed to be taken and that is what I was dreading. Thanks for all your concern gals - you are all the family I have! Hugs Kathy of the Enchanted Wood

Kathy, I am glad that everything went well for you yesterday. Big sigh of relief, right? Now you can get on with enjoying the (hopefully) nicer weather outside.

So glad to hear that, Kathy. Just do keep up with your paps on time, ok? I know how easy it is to let things slide when it comes to taking care of ourselves....we girls always seem to put others first.
Be well, J

I love you all for thinking of me as much as you do. Jonni, I am at the dr every six months and every year I have a chest xray since mom, dad and my sister (51) died of lung cancer. I am at least good at all that. K
