Hi y'all,
I'm painting a 10" clay pot for a wedding gift. I then make cellophane flowers and stick those into foam glued to bottom of the pot - I call them Clay Pot Bouquets. Normally, when I make these as gifts, usually for b-days, Christmas and Halloween, I fill them with all sorts of candy, lollipops etc, along with a few knick-knacks. My plan is to fill the pot with fun, and funny, marital helps -- for instance, a roll of duct tape so new hubby knows when to keep his mouth shut. I will also type up advice, and make them into scrolls to put in the bouquet.
Is this making any sense, whatsoever?? LOL Anyway, what I'm looking for from my fellow farmgirls (and guys!) are any ideas to put in the pot. Can be humorous, cute, serious, etc. No food items necessarily -- unless it goes along with the theme. Any and all ideas are appreciated. It seems that my usually creative thinking has left the building. Lol I have a picture of one I did for a Seattle Seahawks fan if I'm not explaining myself.
Since posting my original question, I've been second guessing myself! I'm thinking that I should fill it with practical items rather than fun/funny things. After all, it is a wedding gift. Funny might be better for engagement/bachelor/bachelorette gifts. What do you all think?
Thanks! Kris

Maybe you can find a plastic ball & chain?! This is a very cute concept! How about a small fryin pan or rolling pin to whack him over the head like in the cartoons?

What about a cute package that includes all you need for a great movie night: blankets, popcorn, and a movie. A basket filled with items going along with a theme would be wonderful. Maybe something that they can do together, like baseballs and baseball gloves, baseball tickets and Big league gum!! Ummm not so romantic but something they both could enjoy!! Just a thought. What a great gift idea you have!! Kate
Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it.....unless they are spelling mistakes. |
