Just watched the film Becoming Jane about the life of Jane Austen, and how her love and loss, family and life shaped her novels. My goodness, keep a box of kleenex handy. The film made me SO happy to have found and kept love...I rushed in to the study after it was over, tears streaming down my face and croaked "I love you!" to Justin!!!

Highly recommended farmgirl flick!!!

I love that movie. So bittersweet. Even though I know how it ends, I still sit there wishing she would change her mind, go after Thomas LeFroy and live happily ever after.

well .. i watched "pride and prejudice' last night ...the scene where she is in the field early in the morning .. and the sun is just coming up (Mr. Darcy was to leave for home the next morning) .. but .. he comes striding across that misty field with that long coat flowing in the breeze ... (ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh .. i gotta' get honey-hunk a coat like that!) then they declare their love for each other and kiss with the new morning sun shining behind them! THEN .. the sweet love scene at the window in her new 'home' .. i swear that is one of my fav films.

haven't seen jane austen .. but i did read a book of her life! what a beautiful writer! will put the film on my 'to watch' list!

LeFroy was played by James McEvoy, little Scottish dreamboat. . He was Mr. Tummnus in Narnia. Even with a false nose and goat legs, still a cutie-pie.

Ahhh. So it is...I'll be looking for more with that lovely young Scot. *sigh*--he's the REAL McDreamy :)

Love this movie and highly recommend it! I watched Pride and Prejudice AGAIN too! LOL! Nothing like a good romance to set your heart aflutter.

James McDreamy was also in "the Last King of Scotland"

Very good movie, even if it was a bit on the violent side for my taste.

Her Highness and I watched the last half of sense and sensibility last night.
*sigh* Where is my Col. Brandon or Edward?????

Oh, I loved this movie, though many Jane Austen purists were none too happy with it.

And here's a little something for you all (which I know I posted a while back in another thread somewhere...)
