saw a wonderful barbara walters show tonight on living to 150 years of age. there were some fabulous 100 year old people on there. they said two of the secrets to living to an olde age (and genes are just 25% of it!) .. is a happy attitude about live and a spiritual belief .. i'm sure 'healthy lifestyles' plays a BIG part in it too!

anyone else see the show?

I watched the show. I'm still trying to process all of the information presented! Did I hear the one doctor correctly (the guy with the long beard)? I thought I heard him say he thought humans could live to be 1000 years old! The other doctors gave more realistic ages of 150 to several hundred years old. One said the 80s could be the new 50s. I just wish the 50s could be the 40s!

i didn't see all of it .. didn't hear the 1,000 year statement. but i have read elsewhere that longevity will reach well into the 100's in the not so distant future.

didn't you just love the 'happy energy' they seemed to have .. despite the fact that barbara walters said each of them had experienced very serious health issues on their journey.

I loved it, wasn't it interesting, they all overcame life's challenges but always had a drive to live and a passion. Such inspirations!

I think the happy energy is really the key to living a long happy life. I enjoyed the show. What is that old saying never take life too seriously, you never get out alive! I agree, just live and be happy and enjoy!I really got that message from them.
