I have a pond approximately 2000 gallons with fish and plant life. In the last week, I have noticed that fish have been dying, so far 12, mostly shibunkin. I haven't changed my care and maintenance much except adding bacteria to help with singular algae. I'm not sure what's going on. Can anyone help with this problem?
I definitely can't help with the fish, but hope by now you've discovered and corrected the problem. Could it be the weather? When did you add the bacteria? Could there have been a problem with it -- reactivity or something similar?
Let us know what you find out.

You may have too many fish for a 2000 gallon pond, maybe they're not getting enough oxygen. Do you have a County cooperative agent you could call on? Is there any runoff from farms that use pesticide/herbicide nearby? Weather could be a problem also.
