Hey All,

I've been a bit quiet since getting laid off last week. It's taken me a few days to settle back into my life and start the job search etc.

I've really been focusing on following my bliss and today I had my first official sewing lesson! It was AWESOME! My girlfriend is coming over and teaching my sister and I and it is so wonderful to learn all her "tricks".

She's coming again on Wednesday to finish up our first project...a 1940's apron.

I also obtained my EIN number from the IRS today. I am making big plans for a business and this is a beautiful step in the right direction.

Now if I could just find the perfect job for the perfect pay that will bring me joy every day!

Thanks so much Heather. I think sometimes we forget that following our bliss is essential. Most times for me it is the simple things that I adore like baking, sewing, singing loud and laughing as often as possible.

It keeps us young and alive. At least it does for me!

Hi Linder!

I know exactly what you mean. It took me a few days to get myself righted after all the life changes that have happened since the beginning of the month. Now I see it all as a huge opportunity. *hugs*

Thanks for the lovely support Nancy, Lisa & Frannie!

I have a business idea I am cultivating and the aprons are a part of it. I was hesitant at first because others are creating aprons and have very successful businesses. But then I thought, why not, there's room for all of us, right?

I love MJ's F.A.R.M. program and would be so thrilled to be successful enough to implement a similar type of program to empower women and create beautiful things locally.

But first things first!~I am learning to be a better seamstress and it's so exciting!

Linda, you GO FOR IT, gal pal! I think that is awesome. So many of the gals here are so talented, and in different ways, with different strengths, so don't sell yourself short! I read a sweet little saying years ago that I never forgot...... "how silent the woods would be if only the best birds sang." We all have our own notes, some high and some low, but all go together beautifully. Can't wait to see your wonderful wares. Hugs, Nance

Hey! If you have any questions about the designing or production of aprons - I'd be happy to share what I've learned.

EllynAnne, you're a Goddess to offer and boy do I have a lot of questions!
And FYI Nance today is my second sewing lesson and we'll be finishing up (I hope) my first apron! Woo Hoo! Then I will post my pics.
Hey, quick question. I'm signed up on photobucket for links to pics but I'd much rather post them so they appear automatically on the post. How do I do that?
