Well today is Wednesday which means I actually work (part of my financial issues, 4 part time jobs but still not $) and I'm at work. Well I'm learning to let go and just let life come as it comes. I'm also reading A New Earth as well and that is helping to put things into perspective. It's just so fun to take the day at face value and whatever comes just enjoy it. I'm such a Virgo and try to micro manage everything that comes along in my life. I'm also an only child so that makes it hard too. I just keep making a "nest" of my favorite magazines and books (MJF, and book, Creole Thrift, and a few others that just make me feel giddy and excited to do things outside of the box) I think it's so important to not buy into the "American Dream" or THINGS...how about being happy!!! Sorry if you find this to be a rant. I just was thinking and thought I'd share and hope that you all are on your way enjoying life and taking the special lil moments for all that they are worth!!!

well, i'm laughing......you're at work? it can't be that bad if you can sit and daydream! good for you! i'm at home, i just helped my husband lay some sod down in the back yard. i told him this is the only time he'll ever see me like this.....yuk! (what can i say, i thought i'd be a team player........what was i thinking??!) anyway, i'm all for taking life as it comes, saves you a lot of time wasting away by worrying.

bridget, there is another site you might be interested in.... it's APRIL CORNELL....google it. they used to have a store in palm beach. i see they only have three in the USA, but it's lots of pretty, colorful fabric......kind of french/english. also, they have clothes and accessories, too. i just loved going into that store. it's very different...pretty, old fashioned and romantic, too. enjoy!

Bridget, you are not alone. And, you made me smile with your "nest" comment, because I too carry a little bag of fav books, garden mags, a sketch pad and a little notebook. It helps me keep sane, and realize there is more to life than just work.

Yesterday I went on a little walk to clear my head, enjoy the weather and stretch my legs, ended up at the library about a block from my office - found a new garden book of companion planting designs. Of course I bought it - 50 cents who could resist. So that will go with me to DD's sheep show this weekend.

It's hard sometimes, with all that we have to do, need to do, to just sit back and enjoy. But, when I do it seems life dosen't come at me so fast and I am better at rolling with the flow.
