Homemade sheepsmilk Lavender soap. Also sheepsmilk lemongrass. What a great way to wake up in the summer

I've been using Back Country Soaps for a while now. Right now I'm using the Lemon Verbena scented one but I think my favorite of their's is the Oatmeal, Milk & Honey. As far as store brands I like the scent and feel of Cashmere Bouquet.

Elizabeth (BotanicalBath) set up a barter last year for soap ends from the whole bars she makes; they are awesome. I am going to be ordering from her soon since I have used up almost of the the pieces she gave us last year. She uses olive oil in her recipe, and the results are fantastic; no allergic reaction, skin feels soft, tub doesn't get sticky, and the fragrances are wonderful.
Haven't seen her posting in a while, though...but I think her site is botanicalbatch.com or something like that. The soap is just wonderful. Even DH likes using it!

I love olive oil soaps and goat's milk soaps -- anything handmade. My favorite scents are definitely floral.

Shea butter soaps! Love, love love them. Also soaps that contain goat's milk, silk, and/or clays. or all of the above if I'm lucky! I'm not a fan of fragrances, but love pretty much all essential-oil scented soaps.
shampoo bars are my staple for haircare. so easy to use, great for traveling and they work REALLy well.

I like goat milk soap the best. I use olive oil and shea butter in addtion to cocnut and palm oils.
I use all types of scents. Anything in the mint family is refreshing, or lemon or lavender. My adult kids like the cumber-melon type which is a soap fragrance not EO oil. Baby scent was another favorite.
I like to add one of the following, oatmeal, almonds, coffee grounds as scrubbers.
This is great for those with sensitive skin too.

I don't know what it is about this stuff, but I ADORE the smell of Alba's Sea Lettuce Cleansing Milk. http://www.albabotanica.com/?id=53&pid=365 Doesn't really make my skin feel like it's squeaky clean, but then it's meant for a dry face anyway. Yummy, that. |

I do not enjoy shopping at all, so I like to stick with the old reliable - Dr. Bronners. I like the fact that it comes in big bottles (so I don't have to shop often), plus of course the biodegradable, organic, small company stuff. The lavender is nice, but my favorite is the standard peppermint. Wakes me up in the morning! |

I love handmade soap and it's good thing because I make it! My favorites vary from season to season... Spring~ florals, clean and green Summer~ citrusy Fall~ heavier types of soap with butters {shea, mango, olive and avocado} because I have such dry skin...love spicy scents Winter~ same as above
