We are in the midst of a snowstorm that I swore was based in fiction...well, it's not.. Beekeeping school in Frankfort is cancelled (thank you, Jess!), but, alas, over the weekend--when it ws 60 degrees and sunny--I took some photos that made me think of Spring. After those are todays photos...

Elie, the Harbinger of Spring (albeit a very vexed one)

Little Chick

Cruel Irony!!!

I guess we're in for a foot and drifts of 5-9 feet...seems sort of weird, but I guess I'll believe them now :)

We Tri State girls are so used to the weather guys crying wolf, that I'm with you, "I'll beleive it when I see it". Well we're finally seeing it. I love it though. I was thinking about you & your bee class. Glad it was cancelled. My fave thing right now is to go out in the barn & sit with the goats, with that cozy barn smell, give them a few cookies & watch them chew their cud. RELAXATION at its finest.

You are welcome Jonni. I saw that next to some Bingo game and got a giggle. Only in KY would Bingo and Beekeeping School be canceled due to impending weather. The funny thing is that we may have 1/2 inch on the ground if even that. Looking at the radar on the Weather Channel website, the system is just hanging around the Ohio River. I'm so ready to make a snowman and have a snowball fight.

I'm cracking up with the caption about cruel irony. Too funny!

And to think...some schools it is spring break. I can't remember the last time when spring break came, there wasn't at least some snow.

Have Fun, Lisa! I like it, too, but I think I'm ready for Spring now. We just got out to go to Hobby Lobby (yes, walking in to the store we DID get death-stares by the clerks) but Jus needed something to do since we're going to be "in" for a bit, so he went to get an airplane model or something he got into his bonnet to do.

We are definitely getting hammered with it, Jess, but the main roads aren't really too bad. They're taking good care of them...

Miss Wilma, thank you! Lord only knows where I came up with him--I remember being with my mom when I bought it, and I think it was some junk shop where I couldn't find anything else and felt bad about "not" buying something. I loved him, he was cheep (ha!!!) so I bought it! Oh, and Elie sure doesn't look like he misses a meal, does he? That dog will eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!!!!

Heya Zan!!!! I was all set out to write you a long email today about border collie rescues and then the boss said "go home". I will though, you've got to see my first bc rescue, Sweet Pea! She's in Minnesota with her 4 bc sibs and is an agility champion going to Nationals!

Girls,

Down here in Southern KY I am just glad to see the snow! In fact, the ground is covered a little over 2" and still snowing! The most we have had this year. We just never seem to get much snow anymore.
I have a co-worker with a 5 yr old that has never got to build a snowman. I cant imagine that. Maybe she can build one today!
Drive careful you all.

Hey Joy! Going to post some more photos today! We have 13 inches!!!! That's more snow than we've had since 1996, the year the Florence Mall was closed and all the semi's used the parking lot for 3 days. I'm hoping you have so much fun out there...we're also building a snow man (when it warms up a bit--19 is CHILLY). I even have carrots!!!
