I'm in Hurricane, TN, Loretta's hometown, and waiting to unload close to Smyrna. I have to go in a minute but just wanted to say howdy to everyone.

We are planning on getting out of trucking in May and I'm looking forward to it. Very burned out right now. I'm wondering how I'm going to fare not being on the road and being out in the country. We are going home after this load and take days off. On our days off, we are looking at the cabin with acreage and honestly, I can't wait! But it is 'out there' and used to be, I'd want to live out but now I'm not so sure.

But we'll look and maybe it'll just 'take me away'. I'm wondering how I'm going to be with mainly a puter for talking to people. We have our cell and not sure if the signal is good out there. I may have to do Hughes Internet or Blue Wave, not sure how it all works.

Kind of scared a bit but not much.

Anywho, just wanted to connect a bit and now off to do my job!

I had no clue that you guys were truck drivers. I come from a truck driving and farm family, and have been out on the roads a few times. It was always one big adventure after another.

Did you get to see the infamous Hurricane Mills while in town? I always loved going to TN, especially Nashville for the sights and sounds. Plus you get to see all those Cracker Barrel signs every few miles and you remember how hungry you are. haha.

Have safe travels heading home!

I just came thru Nashville a bit ago and went right by the Grand Ole Opry!! Surprising to me tho that it was smaller than I had imagined it. :-) But then again, the Stautue of Liberty was smaller and also the White House is WAY smaller than I would have ever thought! hehehe...

You're soooo right, truck driving is one adventure after another and we're just tired. Going to take time out and may come back in the future.
