An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard.

I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home.
He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep in a corner.

An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.

The next day he was back, resumed his position in the hall, and slept for an hour. This continued for a couple of weeks.

Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap."

The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar:

"He lives in a home with ten children-He's trying to catch up on his sleep.

Can I come with him tomorrow?"

LOL, I had this really happen to me. We had a cat, male, big. I found him or he found me when we were living in West Virginia. We then moved to an urban townhouse. Every few days, he would disappear. One morning, he came back with a note attached to his collar. ""This cat seems very healthy, and taken care of, but he keeps coming to my house. Spends a few nights lounging around, then leaves. If you don't want him, I'd be happy to take him in." I wrote a note and attached it back to his collar... "If you can keep him indoors, have at it" Left my phone number, address everything.. Didn't see him for two months, but did meet the woman. He moved out of both, we did both have kids, and we found him at the community pool with a bachelor!
