red is supposed to be invigorating .. and greens soothing.

do you find that certain colors put you in a certain mood .. and do you have a FAVORITE color?

i love 'nature' shades .. the yellows of SUNFLOWERS make me happy and smile ... green, green grass and blue blue skies make me feel very peaceful. barn reds (although not alive) and deep forest greens satisfy my soul somehow .. i think it is the 'peace of the country and olde history of pioneers' feeling i get from them.

subdued autumn shades (pumpkin, olde mustards of aging corn) etc. give me a warm feeling of family and a passing of time.

how's about YOU!

I love the seaside colors....greens, blues and light tans....the beachy colors....feelings of calmness and being carefree.

I also love reds, pinks, greens, robins egg blue with browns/creams mixed in....the Shabby Chic, comfy feel/look....relaxing and inviting.

I do like the bright colors of the wildflowers after the 1st spring rain (the grass is REALLY) green and the wildflowers "pop"....reminds me of the hope and renewal of life.

I've never noticed if certain colors make me feel certain ways. But I have noticed that I tend to gravitate to certain colors with the mood I'm already in. I tend to wear black or navy when I'm feeling especially fat. When I'm happy/excited I wear pinks or yellows. I tend to wear greens the most, though. I don't know if that means anything other than green is my favorite color.

My favorites are bright colors...yellow and green especially. They me feel energectic and healthy.
Reds and purples are usually only found around me when I feel a wild streak coming on.
Blues and grays always make me sleepy and gray definitly is a big depresser. Gimmie primaries any day!!

My favorite color is green!

We painted our Living Room/Dinning Room a beautiful burnt orange. It's amazing how the color lifts my spirits. It is such a warm, happy color. And it looks great with all my dark wood antiques :)

It's interesting..I always wondered why I didn't sleep well in my butter-yellow colored bedroom at home, growing up...it's because yellow is an invigorating color, and that's not always a good thing. They don't use yellow, for instance, in asylums, or schools because a color study done years ago said yellow paint was "agitating"...I guess my lack of sleep could vouch for that!!!

I love greys and light shades of robin egg blue...they really make me feel peaceful. I also love pumpkins and russets because they make me feel warm. Greens make me feel very close to nature. Guess that's why my home is painted that way :)

I can vouch for the yellow thing. I rented a house once that someone had painted the entire kitchen bright yellow. Cupboards, walls and ceiling. Everytime I walked into that kitchen I wanted to scream. It was extremely annoying. I didn't last a week before I called the landlady and asked if I could re-paint it.

I love sunshine and bright rooms (I hate anything on my windows but lace) but this much yellow was waaaaay too much!
