Oh how I wish I could go! I mapquested it and it says it would take me 7 hours to get there. Maybe next time - but it looks like a wonderful show.

One more quick note - Saturday is usually really really busy and crowded. If you prefer a more leisurely day, Sunday may be a better experience for you, or at least later in the afternoon Saturday. Dealers come with a lot of stock and replenish their spaces as items sell. (Teri and I have always found great things on Sunday)!

I'm not sure yet Clare, do you have a recommendation? I just know I told my mom we are going, but really haven't planned it with too much detail. I'll be driving with my mom down from Priest River, ID. I guess I'd better plan pretty carefully considering what the price of gas is likely to be. Nancy |

I would not miss it. I hoped to be a vendor this last spring and this fall, but other things took me away from getting it together. Oh well...I love to go and shop. I have been gathering and gathering to have things to sell, but maybe next spring I can get it together to be a part of this wonderful event. I have found some great deals there. I have only gone on Saturdays in the past...it is really crowded, but if you hang in there for the first couple of hours or go later in the day on Saturday it does clear out some. I am going with my MaryJane Farm Chapter group (we do not have a name as of yet)...our first outing! I think we may take a picnic and tailgate with it there. There are no places to eat in Fairfield, the town where it is held. So either you buy from food vendors or take your own, if you want to eat.
We can't wait!

I'm really looking forward to this event. I am flying in from CA - I told my sister I was visiting her in Lewiston - but I had ulterior motives. :} Lindy |

Hi Clare, I'm so glad you liked the postcard! We have so much fun scouring yard and estate sales for fun pictures to use. We're proud to use the pictures that are discarded by others. We don't have any of the history on our current chicks, but can only imagine how much fun they must have had together!

I was hoping to meet Serena but I missed her, I did get to meet Kate and few others though. My mom was the one who swooped in and bought 6 cases of the fabric softener and a case of dishwasher soap. If we had been a little earlier we would have cleaned you out of your cute vintage aprons and the room spray as well. One gal I was talking to.. I want to say Terri but I am pretty bad at names so that could be wrong.. said I could contact you on getting in touch with someone else to buy the laundry detergent from if you decide to quit supplying it. She advised us that it was a well known company who handle candles and jams and things of that nature but it was on the tip of her toungue and just couldn't remember.. Do any of you know what she was talking about?
The show was great! We are talking about starting a booth next year ourselves. I also got some very nice flowers from the Flower Girl booth, some carmel and a huckleberry pie. I really look forward to next year.
Thanks for putting on a great event!
you can be oh so smart, or you can be oh so positive. I wasted a lot of time being smart I prefer being positive. |

The Farm Chicks Show was great, as usual. The weather was absolutely beautiful. There were a good deal of vendors who would bargain with us or who had reasonable prices, so there was no need to try to bargain. It seemed there were also some upper end vendors (out of my personal price range) and some vendors who carried a more primitive line of goods.
The article in Country Living sure made a difference in the amount of people attending...my oh my...this must make Serena and Terri quite happy. How exciting to see a farm sale blossom into this successful event. What happens if it keeps growing???
Our small MaryJane Chapter went together. We had a lovely time and came home with a car full of treasures. We stopped at an wonderful estate sale before arriving at the Farm Chics Show...so we had a head start on our load of goods.
I came home with a green White Mountain Appler corer, a grinder with a green wooden handle, a cream and green turkey roaster, a green file box with a Crenoline lady scene on the top, a primitve handmade scoop, an old metal basket with some old rolled price tags in it (these will be great for altered art), and some other things I cannot remember now.
I got a bunch more stuff at the estate sale, including a picture frame with the carved leaves on the corners (I have wanted one of these for years) and a embroidered angel scene from the 1870's. The embroidered piece even had the family history of who made it and how it was passed from mother to daughter through the years typed on a piece of paper on the back. For only $3.00 it is now mine.
All in all we had a great treasure finding day.
Thanks Farm Chics!
Pamela
