Well friends, LINDA is about as common as they come but I am grateful for my name as my Mother had a list of wierd names like "LIZBIT" which was the number one choice. Thank God I was early and she forgot the list!
My daughter's name is Elora and we have only met 2 others with the same name which is really nice for her. She loves it!

Yes, another Maryjane! My first name is Maryjane and my middle name is Lee. I was named after my Swiss Great-Great Grandmother. I am meeting more and more Maryjane's all the time.

Yes, I call all of my kids by each others names. What mom doesn't? I have one sister and my parents always call us by the other one's name.

Yes, I'm rather glad to have escaped being named Poem. Though it might not have been so bad as a middle name, now that I think of it...

No you're right Elizabeth as a middle name it is quite lyrical! My middle name is Susan. sigh. Nothing particularly magical about that one! LOL!

My girls are Shelby and Maggie. We just named their new beagle Shaggie for convenience's sake. :)

I did not google my name yet...but I'll bet there are not many Theoanne's out there!
My #4 son ( as he calls himself) says he thought his name was SeJPA Casey( short for Sean, JJ, Patrick, Casey!) I guess Sean was the only one that knew his name ...LOL

Well, according to my mum, when she named me Meghan, it was a very uncommon name! Lol. It must have been the same for MaryJane's Meg. I've met a very few Meghans older than me, but younger - phew! There's loads of them. I've always gone by Meg though, because when I was little everyone used to spell it wrong, or mispronounce it. My middle name is Jane - passed on through the family for a few hundred years. And my last name - let's just say if I went to Wales, it would seem like everyone was related to me. =;-)

Well, my folks thought they were being unique in 1959 when they named me Karen, boy were they wrong. the really Silly thing is - my pop's 1st cousin, in the same town, named her first daughter Karen a couple years earlier and pop forgot. In kindergarden i was with 2 other karens in a small class and in college there were 4 karens just on my dorm floor (about 40 girls, so 10 percent were karens) My neighbor across the street is a karen and when i work the lavender fields harvest festival each year 2 other workers are named karen... on and on it goes... my best friend from college (one of the karen's on my floor) married a david (as did I, just a different david) so when the four of us go out to din-din it is "Hi, this karen and david and that is karen and david..." goofy.
My middle name is unique, Lisette. I have always wished i was named for either of my Grandmas - Lisette or Mattie lora. Anything but karen.
When i google myself, i come up as a opera singer back east and other karen england's around the nation before my business and magazine articles, etc... comes up. I will have to work on getting to the top of the karen google search heap...
good question! love, karen
