FRANKIE ... our son-in-love grew up with a political family .. the tradition continues .. lucas is following in his daddy's footsteps! he has already met lots of politicians and had his 'kodak' moments with them. when he first met Governor Strickland .. who was just a 'candidate' .. lucas ran to the front of the line of dignataries and was probably the very first person to ever greet him as "GOVERNOR". (we jokingly call the family 'the poor kennedys' because so many of them are in politics).

Frannie, that's a great pic! Wasn't Bill Clinton in a photo with John F. Kennedy when he was a kid and shook his hand? You never know where this might lead! Thanks for sharing that pic, Lucas is adorable.

i sent this to the 'gurlfrenz' this morning .. cuz' i'm getting lots of questions about how this pic came about .. soooo .. i thought i'd share it here too:
lucas has been in lots of political 'kodak moments' in his short 6 years! his dad, frank (next to clinton) worked in the white house when clinton was president .. and he is a toledo city councilman. matt (next to the governor) is frank's brother and is an ohio state representative. they have both been involved in politics since they were little ones too! we have always called the SZOLLOSI family .. the 'poor kennedy's of ohio' because lots of his family have been politicians in the toledo area over the years. lucas goes to city council meetings with his dad sometimes .. (we even have a photo of sofia at a meeting with her dad when she was just months old .. it was in the Blade Newspaper!) ... and political rallys .. and to the tv station when his dad is interviewed .. and is often seen in the newspaper. he actually is already VERY politically savy!!
this photo is a 'fun one' though!! no 'political' statements from me as to who anyone should vote for though .. we're jus' incredibly proud of all of them! Darlin' daughter Wednesday is an Environmental Attorney with the Attorney General's office .. soooo .. they are all very involved in Civic Duties and dedication to a better Toledo, state of Ohio and our United States! GOSH! i know that even little SOFIA will live in this dedicated world .. along with the new little Szollosi Baby! we are so incredibly proud of all of them.
i'm going to crop the area of lucas' and clinton's hands!!! i haven't talked to him yet about meeting "mr. president" .. but will sometime today!
in addition to being hard-working, kind, motivated and dedicated .. frank and wednesday are very much in their children's lives .. they include them in all areas and are raising them to be compassionate and understanding of all people. (and .. we love how they do lots of 'fun' and 'educational' events with them too!)
be watchin' that little guy in about 25 or 30 years though! xo

I remember that photo of Clinton and Kennedy. Clinton was a young teenager. So Lucas has shaken the hand that shook the hand of Kennedy.
