I was watching "Good Morning America". I rarely watch morning news but for some reason, I felt the need to watch it. They were showing Isaac Mizranhi (sp) fashion show and Robin Roberts, the co-anchor on GMA walked the runway in a beautiful red dress (it was a challenge for the show), COMPLETELY BALD!!! She is undergoing treatment for breast cancer and she lost all her hair and boy, I was bawling and jumping up and down in joy for her. What a woman and how brave she is!! Boy, that made my day... She is going on my inspiration board!!!

Oh awesome! I saw the first part of the show when they were talking to her about preparing for it, but didn't have time to watch the rest of it. Awesome inspiration. Thanks for letting us know about it, Heather.
BTW, did you see the post last week, of Julia and Aria's braids...I will try to find the link and post it here.
Here it is: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17133

Yes, I did see the beautiful picture of Julia and Aria and this goes to show what grace and beauty there is in the world. I was so moved this morning, I am still crying--out of sheer awe and really feeling good about myself!!!

I have a lot of admiration for Robin Roberts. She continues her work every day, and she appears just as nice and as professional as always. If you didn't know what she was going through, you would never suspect anything was wrong. She's a strong woman.

That reminds me of the time Melissa Etheridge kicked butt at the Grammy's with a bald head. I'm not usually a fan of her music, but I had goosebumps that night.

That is really neat to watch. One of my dear friends was diagnosed with breast cancer right before Thanksgiving. We have the same female doctor and I mentioned when I was having an appointment. She said "oh I need to get one too!" and we got it for the same day. She had a mamogram and then they did another one. Thankfully they caught it early, got it out, ran some more tests. She only had to do radiation. Then a family friend's wife was diagnosed with both sides and had to have both removed and chemo. It is a very scary ordeal to go through. Early detection is the key and having tests regularly is very important!! I couldn't stress it enough that's for sure.
