I don't think I really expected him to just 'out and admit' everything he did. So many of those news magazine shows promise 'the answer' and never deliver anything concrete. Nobody I know seems to have watched it. I just can't get it out of my mind. It was just so horrifying. That boy is as cold as Charles Manson. And at no time did he evince any sorrow or regret. In fact, the only time he was sorry, he said he cried because, "I just don't know why this is happening to ME".....

I saw enough of it to turn my stomach! What a cold hearted, smart a**! The thing that I can't seem to get out of my head is the fact that he wasn't even certain that she was dead when they dumped her into the ocean!! My heart just breaks for Natalie's poor mother. How could you live with that as a mom??? I hope the family finally gets some justice from this new info.

I actually got sick from watching him. As a mother, for a child to act like that, no remorse, nothing and for him to treat anyone by just tossing them away into the water like trash is disgusting. He has no heart and I think his mind is twisted and he doesn't think he did anything wrong.

Cheers,
Heather

If he is telling the truth, what do you think happened to her? I mean, what do you think made her start shaking and be non-verbal? Just too much to drink? Or do you think he did more than he said. Was it my imagination, or did I hear him say something about them finding his sperm inside her if they ever found her?

I honestly think he raped her and then left her for dead instead of calling for help. It could have been a date rape drug, or he was holding her against her will...did you see how he used the word b***h to describe her? Doesn't seem like he had much emotional attachment to her.

Cheers,
Heather

I did - I was thinking "Oh, her poor mother" when I heard him call her that. I would go crazy if I heard someone call one of my daughters that.

Yes, Sherri. I think is may have been related to too much alcohol. He said she was very drunk and then he gave her a drink that was 75% alcohol. And you had to listen closely, but at one point, he was talking sort of fast and mumbling, but he actually said that while she was shaking and convulsing, "then I took her". So that's why his sperm would have been found inside her. He really is a monster.

What did you all think about the guy who set him up? He must have been really patient and calculating to cultivate the friendship over a long period of time to the point where Joran would be that open with him. Thank goodness he was or her family may have never known what happened to her.

That boy makes my slapping hand itch.

I truly think his parents knew the whole time and that his dad helped him with the body. This kid such a stereotype - spoiled, rich and entitled. He looks as if he is so sure he can get away with anything, including murder.

I also think the Aruban government was in on a cover-up. I hope Natalie's mom nails them all to the wall. I wish I could help her.

You know I kind of wondered about his parents too - because he made a point of saying "Not my parents or anything" when the other guy (what was his name?) was asking him about who helped him dump the body.

What really got to me was that he said after she was put on the boat and taken out to sea, he went back to his room and slept well. He has absolutely no emotional remorse and is cold....cold....cold. The way he was talking about the whole thing....it was so matter of fact. The girl was so drunk, that (I think) she had alcohol poisoning, or she simply passed out. There's definitely a piece of the puzzle missing for him to want to dispose of her like that. You know, and in this case it was good, it's typical for these monsters to eventually brag about the deed to try to impress someone. If he never opened up his mouth, the case would probably never be solved. At least it's closure for the girl's family.

This reminds me of an old case back in the 80's in New York City. I forget the guy's name, but he was an upper-class, spoiled a****ho, that was in a upscale bar, and met a girl. She got drunk and they went to Central Park to do whatever, and he ended breaking her neck and killing her. Later they showed a video tape of him making fun and laughing, recreating the scene, that a friend taped. Same type of monster.

I remember that, too, Judy. I hadn't thought of that in many years.

Robert Chambers. And yep... same type of kid. I mean, I'm Republican so I have nothing against people who earn or are left money but sometimes it really goes to peoples' heads.

Yes, that his name. It was big news back then.
