Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW)offers outdoor skills workshops to women throughout North America. http://www.uwsp.edu/CNR/bow/
Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) means becoming more competent, more confident, and more aware. BOW is an outdoor skills program that offers women a chance to grow. 20,000+ women attend BOW events every year.
More than 80 weekend-long workshops are held all across North America annually. The workshops introduce women to a variety of activities equally balanced between hunting and shooting, fishing, and non-harvest sports like canoeing and camping. Participants choose from a list of over 20 activities.
BOW welcomes women from all backgrounds to enjoy camaraderie with other women in a supportive, non-competitive learning environment. Participants span the ages of 18 to 80+.

By the way, MB, I loved seeing your face on your blog!! Don't know how I missed the site all this time, but better now than never.
No workshops in WA?!? Weird. Try this one:
Washington Outdoor Women (http://www.washingtonoutdoorwomen.org/index.htm) is dedicated to teaching women a variety of outdoor skills through which they learn to enjoy and respect the outdoors, thereby becoming stewards of our state's natural resources.
Washington Outdoor Women helps women develop a connection with the outdoors. Not so long ago, women were as familiar with the wilderness as their men. They, too, were hunters, gatherers, anglers, farmers, and ranchers. Only recently women have moved indoors and strayed from their roots - their connection to the natural world. WOW puts you back in touch.

Jen, thanks for the info. I checked out Texas and there's one only 2 hours away from me. I think it would be fun and a great get away time for me.
I also checked out your link to MaryJanes Outpost. Oh My!! Another place for me to make super friends and spend time. I'll have to get up even earlier than 4 a.m. now to have enough time to chat! I look forward to seeing you there.

Know of any resources for something like this in Idaho? I live in another state that isn't on the list, but I would LOVE to be involved in similar activities! :)
