i love OUR TOWN .. i've seen several versions of it. simple but powerful!

i saw HAIR at the National Theatre in D.C. .. WOWZER! and i liked CATS a lot .. saw a national production of it also.. wonderfully done.

i ADORE our Kentucky Repertory Theatre about an hour's drive from our home! Hank and i always have season tickets .. we even purchased two front seats for the theatre we like it so much!

Actually, thinking about it . .i'd say some of my more memorable plays are the ones that honey hunk and i were in when we lived in the mountains of colorado.

what have been some of your fav plays?

I enjoy just about anything live on stage! That's (especially)including High School and Jr High productions. What can I say, I'm a real cheap date! If the weather holds, we are going to a HS production of "Oklahoma" Saturday night!

Well, I liked "Death of a Salesman". We're pretty lucky here in Louisville to have Actor's Theater. I've seen many fantastic plays there. Jon Jory used to be the managing director, and his father, Victor Jory, would occasionally come here to star in plays. He was great in that one. Then he gave a talk at the Speed Museum here and answered questions afterward about his years in Hollywood! I had an old copy of "Gone WIth the Wind" with color pics from the movie he was nice enough to autograph. I also enjoyed Ken Jenkins in Hamlet(I was 21 and he wasn't much older). There have been numerous actors who started at Actor's Theater and went on to 'bigger' things. But there's nothing like a live performance. That one last dark moment before the curtain comes up.

Hiya, Frannie!

We live in Chicago, and we're lucky to go to Steppenwolf (they have lots of discount tickets available for $20 apiece). The last really great play I saw was August, Osage County.

I have seen Sanders Family Christmas , twice, and loved it just as much the second time around. We go to Cumberland Playhouse in Crossville TN. I sure wish we had a theater close by.

One of my favorites is Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest...makes me laugh!

I also really enjoy our local summer Shakespeare in the Park productions.

I haven't been to a Broadway play in a few years, but I used to go pretty often. I enjoyed CATS and 'Phantom of the Opera'. I like musicals and dancing. I would love to be able to dance like that! Dancers have the most beautiful bodies. I also enjoyed 'The Producers' when Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick starred in it....very funny! I love Nathan Lane when I saw him in the movie with Robin Williams in 'Birdcage'. I thought he stole the movie...histerical! I saw 'The Producers' two weeks after 9/11, and it was sad and poignant...everyone wanted to support New York City and try to go on.

Oscar Wilde always makes me laugh! In fact, one of my favorite plays is An Ideal Husband. I saw it when I lived in London and it's like it was yesterday. The Ensemble Theater in Cincinnati does wonderful plays, most recently Opus, which won a Tony. Great show if anyone gets to see it.

Jealous of you, Amanda, getting to go to the Steppenwolf. Some of my favorite actors have come from that theater (John Malcovich, one) My old high school beau, Damian Arnold is currently performing with the Actors Workshop Theater (soon to be Redtwist Theater) in Chicago. He's a HOOT!! and a HALF!!! We dated while I was at boarding school and again in London while he was at RADA.

I had never seen Fiddler on the Roof and I saw it recently and really liked it. My son liked it too, every once in a while he'll start singing, "Tradition! Tradition."

i use to help costume the youth productions and got free tickets for my effort. the show i enjoyed the most was MidSummer's Night Dream. it was wonderfuly casted and so funny! it also helps that as a costumer i read the plays before i get to the show. i would love to see Phantom on the stage...i watch the video every couple of months, but it would be so amazing to see it live.

I love love love Putnam County Spelling Bee. Saw it at the Water Tower Theatre in Chicago last year and it was a hoot!! (Great little theatre, too; not a bad seat in the house.) We couldn't stop laughing. And all the men in the audience were laughing out loud -- which says a great deal. It was the best musical I'd seen in YEARS.

Hands down for me is The Lion King. I know it's Disney, and some folks think that means it's too "kiddie" but it's an entirely different experience :)

My favorites have been Kismet, Annie and Phantom of the Opera--which we saw at Her Majesty's Theater in London where it's been playing since the day it opened. Fantastic!
