My material has cowboy hats too. I got some really cute buttons to put on my pockets. I haven't started mine yet either... got to get my felt pins done and mailed. This is great. I really like swapping with everyone.  |

well.. ok.. i feel like that just about every day..

It REALLY interferes So with my crafting & my personal life.. Ya know?
Dang it all.. But then.. How would I fund My Joanne Fix of course..

I got some fabric for the Garden minis!
! but still need more.
I have a question: where do you gals find charms or buttons that are cheap enough to buy 17 of? If I only knew how to make my own.

I saw on pbs station the kids were making big beads from raw potatoes...left them out in the sun to dry after sticking pieces on a skewer. Then they painted them! sure looked ugly until they got paint LOL

Linda, I've seen necklaces made from those at a craft fair. The lady that did them painted them with iridescent paint and they were really cute.

.. I find them on sale now & then too.. & whether I need them right then or not I try to take advantage of the sale.. But Jeez.. sometime it does get to be too much .. doesn't it?
Hey who was it that did that Gorgeous Crocheted Burgandy Mini For Valentines Day?
I can't remember right now at this very second.. & I am not in the same room.. But look at that.. The 'charm' was made from Polymer clay..! Which isn't inexpensive either really.. & of course there's a big skill invollved there too! Especially when you do the canes they way she did! Wow! But.. it's definatly a new twist..!
I try to switch things on & off now & then so it's affordable for me..
& doesn't seem so overwhelming..
Sometimes I'll do strictly Rick Rack.. (yes.. my TRUE fetish..)
& then look.. I have started doing my pockets with a Yo-Yo.. which in really unique & cute too I think.. So if i don't add ANY Charm at all that time around.. My Mini still came out pretty cute.. & then look at my Halloween one! & just freyed the heck out of my hem.. & then & also used gobs of that funky yarn stuff too.. That I had gotten on clearence a few months earlier.. & had no idea what I was going to do with it when I bought it!
& them Somtimes.. Just making them reversible was a neat bonus too!
Remember.. the whole idea of the Mini's is to have fun.. & enjoy being together & visiting.. & swaping & experimenting with what your making..
Not to go broke.. or stressing over the silly little things.. & don't them end up costing you an arm & a leg either!
Please have fun with them Girls!

Well.. My daughter Jennifer came over today.. for Sunday Dinner.. So Far My Youngets Son Josh hasn't Surfaced.. But he's promised to.. so.. he'll show up later i think.. he's working still.. My oldest Son Jeff has bowed out.. He has a New Girlfriend.. I'm going to keep it very clean right now & just say that I absolutley can't freaking stand her..
There.. Anyway.. He's not here today..
They are having dinner at home.. BLAH!!
Well part of the reason here would be that may be bacause My Daughter told her that if she showed up.. My daughter was going to beat her butt.. (Yes.. that was the cleaned up version..)

Anyway.. I'm thinking the Girlfriend has asked Jeffy Poo if they could maybe not push their luck this weekend.. & lets just spend some time alone with out family..

Mistake # 2.. Stupid Girlfriend Playing games between my kids..
Mistake # 3.. Has Stupid Girlfriend NOT been Warned that MOM is probably to be feared WAY more then the Psycho Sister??
Mistake # 4.. Also forgetting that Mom Makes up the rules as she goes along..Because as ALWAYS
It's MY Game..& Any & ALL New Players Need to be Fairly Warned..

I love your spurs a spinning.
Some of these gals have pictures on their blogs to show their aprons and if you look up Halloween Mini Aprons there should be pictures there.
So Kathie was that my bed time story.....lol
Potato beads I have never heard of such a thing. It is still to cold here for that but hmmmmm would love to see them.
My aprons tend to be simplier, cause I am slow!!!!!!!! Yes, I am admitting that it takes me forever to do a few.....lol but I love my minis and I am a mini addict. I think of them in my sleep, what I can do, how I can make them, what would look better this or that, where shall I hang them. Hey you know it is an addict household when your husband gets up from sleeping to see what your valentine minis look like. I went to the mailbox at midnight last night cause we forgot to check the mail. Froze my touchie off but they were there. So dh comes out and says, let me see them hon. Okay, this means we are seriously addicted!!!!!!

hey becky, take a peek at my blog, I have a picture of some past mini's.
Ok, am I the only one who forgot today is a Federal Holiday???? meaning,, no banking & postal service!!! uugghh!
So I guess I will head into town on Tuesday instead to get all my goodies in the mail!
haha! silly me, I am learning that one of the pitfalls of being retired is you lose track of holidays which means the P.O. & banks are closed... guess I need to pay closer attention to my calender that I got as a gift this past Christmas!!! hahaha!
