And I thank you so much!!! You know, I really have been examining my own life or maybe just having a mini- meltdown or mid-life crisis, but I really want to become a more compassionate, non-judgemental person. I want to be EXTREMELY HAPPY like I was so many years ago before I left the weights of life drag me down...

So I am going to try to be really happy, nice, non-judgemental no matter what is sent my way in life. I am going to find that silver lining and maybe grab it and wrap it up in my hair!!! I am going to complement people, give more hugs and kisses, be more "sinful" with the DH ,learn not to fly of the handle so quick, think before I speak, just be silly and play in the puddles and dirt more with my DS and have fun!!! Stop thinking with my blinders on and let life whip in all directions!!! I am going dance and sing in public, be the happy go lucky person I lost somewhere along the way, teach myself compassion and understanding and always look everyone straight in the eye. Thank people more, curse at people less (oh boy, watch out!!!), correct what I know is wrong when I see it, I want to make more friends than I know what to do with them, throw get togethers and try something new each day or at least each month, I am going to embrace my body from my toes to my roots and LIVE MY LIFE AS AN EXAMPLE!!! Can I get a WHOO-HOOO my farmgirl friends??

Who wants to join me???

Cheers,
Heather

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

YOU GO GURLFREN! i've had a 'saying' since childhood: "life's too short not to be happy most of the time" ... i've tried to live by it .. and ... this does NOT mean that there won't be boulders thrown in our path .. and that the gremlins won't descend on us from time to time .. and OH YES!!! i went through a 'mid-life crisis' in my 40's (one of those 'passages' that gail sheehy so eloquently wrote of!) .. anxiety attacks and all .. but the important thing is that it made me go even deeper inside .. to search what i needed to add to my life or delete from my life .. what i had to hold close .. and to just KNOW how incredibly PRECIOUS 'each and every moment' of our life is .. that we just get 'so many' breaths in a lifetime .. and 'oh how silly to waste them' in negativity!

many years ago .. i wrote my own 'gravestone' ... HOW DID I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED? again .. this is not to say that EVERYONE will LOVE us .. but that is not OUR problem (as long as we are good and kind) .. it is 'their's' to own and do with it as they choose. if you are a kind person and someone chooses to NOT see the good in you ... it is something in their OWN lives that is missing .. and they may not know it 'right now' .. but if they do some honest introspection .. they, too, will be enlightened. TO THY OWN SELF .. BE TRUE!

oh my .. i 'wax poetic' tonight!

dance heather dear .. dance and sing! hugs, frannie

You know sometimes when you are looking for an answer in your own soul and have no way of expressing to some one else? Then you happen upon it by chance and it just makes you weep! Thanks Frannie! Through you, I just got the answer! I'll be sure to tell you later how things work out.

I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by. ~anon

oh thank you sweet friends .. i wish we could all gather and share our stories .. they 'whys' of how we got to where we are .. our 'wake-up' calls .. our sadness and our joy .. all of which make up who we are ..

my PROFOUND wake-up call came early in life when my own dear momma left my brother, sister and me as small children .. and my dad's family were always there and raised us TOGETHER as a family .. so that the sadness wasn't as cruel as it could have been. (oh yes .. i, being probably the most 'sensitive' of the three of us .. had my 'lost child' wandering and wondering about how a mother could leave three beautiful children .. i never did meet her again in life (i 'peeked' at her when i was in my teens .. but did not ask the so many questions i had) ..and before i could do this .. she died. it was not until my 50th birthday .. that i 'found' my mother's side of the family .. visited her gravesite and spoke with her .. and in my mind .. she spoke back to me and gave me the 'answers' .. and i understood .. and forgave.

but the UNDERSTANDING AND COMPASSION AND ACCEPTANCE that i believe i learned from childhood was the constant LOVE that we were surrounded with.

and OH MY YES! i've had other 'nirvana' moments .. and 'angels unawares' that have been there when i most needed them. but we MUST be open to receiving .. we have to be 'ready' so as not to miss a 'life lesson' .. ever watchful for angels flying closely under our wings .. breathing softly, singing quietly, carrying us through trials and tribulations .. teaching us .. leading us to the happiness that we all deserve in this lifetime.

thanks sweet friends .. 'pay it forward'. xoxo, frannie

Heather I will join you.Actually this has been a personal thing for me too. I am only going to be 28, but I am not "happy" in an all around sense. And I have been realizing lately that being happy is a choice. I have dealt with depression, I am sureI always will deal with it one way or another. But i have to put myself in a happy place, be around happy people, be more positive and surround my self with positive space and people.
I want to be able to be the person people want to be around and maybe even look up to. I want to be like Frannie NOW, so that I can happy the rest of my life, lol. I want to be more comfortable with myself, I want to be more "sinful" w/ hubby too Heather!!I want to be THAT positve person. I want to see and feel the positve in every lesson, even the ones I dont like or understand.
So yes Heather I am in this with ya sister!!! Dont worry, be happy (and for me) Stop cursing out everyone and their mother!!lol
So Heather I will dance in the sunshine and be goofy and happy, We will be happy!!

Ms. Frannie, You are amazing. Not only are you encouraging farm chicks on this site, you are also antiquing with your friends, making rag dolls with your grandchildren, sending me home sites to look at in Kentucky, planning farmgirl gatherings, etc., etc., .... You are a blessing.
Thank you for sharing yourself with others!

Frannie - I just want to know where you shop!! I have been wanting to spice up my wardrobe, but I have no idea where to start. I showed DH your picture and asked him how old he thought you were and he said "Ummm... 45?" He loved your look. Not that I want to copy you, but what kind of tips do you have for spicing up a typical middle age look?
