i can tell you this regarding cell phones. We both had one until we moved North. Rob got rid of his after I did because he noticed that where he set it in his truck, the plastic was getting weird and warped. That scared him enough that he ditched it altogether. We donated our phones to a women's shelter int eh twin cities for women who escape abusive relationships.
We have wireless internet because I have a laptop, but other than that we keep that sort of thing to a minimum. we are pretty green here (I hate that word though...) but it is out of a matter of living really, not trend. if trend drives people to be more aware, that is great....it jsut hate the words used. um, I think everyone-even us-can use a little more work towards making their lives healthier and more eco savvy....
we wont ever have cell phones again though....it's just not worth the risk to us, and quite frankly, it is okay to be unreachable from time to time...most people are just too afraid of their own thoughts though, and that's why most people are afraid to be disconnected and unreachable.
