Jeannie , I still havent had time to go on ebay, just keep looking for the good ones I do get cheaper baskets but if I really like one I dont care to pay a good price for it , I have around 60 0r more old baskets anything else goes in the goodwill box, A good basket is like a good quilt you either have a common one or a top dollar one I found out that the top quality ones will always sell,I gotta tellyou this, afew years ago the ky quilt society did a lot of buying around this area , well I had been in this shop over in Green co and looked at some quilts I thought they were to high and passed on them, so sometime later I was telling one of my buyers about them and they wanted to see them so I took her over there, all the quilts was pulled out , the lady proceded to tell big stories about them how she had some big buyers just dying to come buy them, now mind you I had done heard that tale from her before and for some time I just kept quite well after awhile I got tired of listening to those lies so I just hauled off and said MAM you are looking at one of the biggest quilt buyers in the state of KY, iT really ticks me off when they have to lie to sell their things, If your merchandise is good enough it will sell its self, I dont advise any one to buy what they cant afford but if you can buy the best do so in the sense that you ever want to resale it,Just buy at the best price you can, I had rather have one item that I can make a hundred on as to have 10 items trying to make 10 dollars each, Most times when I buy I know where I can sell itor if it doesnt sell very fast I can be happy to keep it for awhile, yes it is much better at home with out all the expense all it cost me here is a little electric and water hope you can come see me sometime all my baskets arent that expensive

Miss Wilma - sure do agree with all you said. Whenever I have "splurged", in my mind, on something I love, I have never regretted it. It's the real "goodies" that you love to live with. A good basket, a good quilt, a good person......quality never goes out of style. Love hearing your stories!

Jeannie thats the way I look at it if I keep it its going to be good then if I decide to sell I have something worth selling, I dot have my house jammed pack with antiques but what I do have is good, I have always bought good mdse and have never had a problem selling it , but I am the worst at selling yard sale things I guess I just dont know how, Last summer 4TH OF July I had a huge orchard sale with 6 other of my friends We did it for 4 days and sold over 10,000 between all of us, my antique things sold good but just every day stuff didnt, I am going to do it again this year, Another thing about it a lot of people came that didnt know about us being here, so I mow have new customers for the shop, I f you want to know how I do it let me know I am going to do it again this year
