That's great, Jen! My husband is attending his first "bee keeping" class this weekend and then he and I will attend in March with the state apiarist. I'm really looking forward to it, and this will be great reading in the meantime!!!

Jen, thanks so much for posting this link... I've been concerned about the bee situation for a while & this article gives me hope that things can get better...
Jonni, I'm envious of you & your husband going to the beekeeping class.. I wish there was one around here...

I am interested in bee keeping here in eastern New Mexico, but the locals who have tried it tell me the bees will starve to death in this area. Guess I will have to get my gardens up to snuff before bringing in the bees.
