My very worst fear has been realized and I need all your well wishes..I am at Sacred Heart with my 4 year old daughter who just yesterday was diagnosed with leukemia. She had a bone marrow biopsy this afternoon to determine that diagnosis for sure but all signs point in that direction. I am a myriad of things right now, not the least of which is completely shocked, numb and upside down. My husband has taken time off and we are staying here as a family. So far, she is in pretty good spirits, but we have a long, long, long road and we are faced with redefining what is "normal" for us. Today, I feel strong..yesterday I was sick and could barely think straight..several good cries throughout the day have been extremely helpful..putting the word out has also been helpful. I will be sporadic in my communication but will update you as I learn and understand more. Obviously, anyone with experience with leukemia would be more than welcome to contact me and share that experience. It is all a little unreal at this point..I'm numb and pacing......

Julia, you are definitely in the prayers of my whole family. We have been there with Hannah and blessedly the results did not show leukemia. I will pray the same for you.

Julia and Aria-
We have the goddess candle lit by Aria's picture right now...just sending many hugs, healing energy and love to you all. This is just terrible news and I wish I were there holding your hand. We spent many nights up in that Children's Hospital with Bella, I am so sorry you are doing the same. I am able to come up and help with the kids any time, or to come see you with tea. Please let me know just what you need- I really can hop in the car right away as my family is there in town.
Practicalities- are you eating OK there, do you need anything? Have you checked out the Ronald McDonald sleeping and family room?

So sorry to hear about your sweet little girl. It's terrible that she will have to go through so much. But many prayers are being sent her way and prayer does help! Takce care of yourself as you take care of her.
