I'm having a yuk day at work--it's nothing in particular, except I'm flaking out and making silly, careless mistakes. My mind just isn't here, frankly. My head is: checking out cost of coveralls for Jus and I so we can tackle the invasive honeysuckle in the back yard, planning which heirloom apple trees I'm going to get, marking calendar dates down for various things coming up in March, to include the Bee Keeping class Jus and I are taking in Frankfort, ordering my seeds for the garden....and well, can you tell I really am not that interested in Law right now?

We had SUCH a great weekend, which is detrimental to "work mode", too-- Justin played out solo for the first time in a while, and I always love listening to just him and his guitar; Saturday night we had dinner with new friends who moved to the states from Kitar in the middle east to Florence, Kentucky, and we ate Ethiopian food (YUM!) and Sunday, I spent all day sewing my patches for the farmgirl chapter and membership badge, and cleaning, and just kicking around....So, I don't REALLY want to do THIS work anymore. I want to do more things like I did this weekend, and I want to concentrate more on those things in our future.

Bah. If only you didn't need money to function!!!

Oh Jonni- I have those days everyday!! : )

I swear I think I have adult onset ADD, seriously!! I can't concentrate on one thing before something else pops up and then if I go outside and it is nice, I get distracted by nature and then thoughts start wandering and SWOOSH!! The whole day goes by!!!
Last night, I was planning on submitting another resume but got distracted by a new seed catalog and before I knew it, it was 11 at night!! (darn those yummy looking sweet onions!!!)

Cheers,
Heather

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. It feels like a "good weekend hangover" in that I don't want to stop having the fun that I did, but there's also something more to it. Maybe I'm a bit burnt out. Could be....who knows. My daddy would have said, "suck it up, child!" So, I'll try that

Jonni,
I am having the same kind of day. My brain feels fuzzy even.

I had a great, low-key weekend. Just hanging out with my family and friends too. Puttering around not doing much of anything. After the hectic frenzy of the holidays, it was welcome.

Just think of how much we will be able to accomplish tomorrow when we are back on track.

I woke up on the WRONG side of the bed today and was in a mood this morning. It was all good once I got to school but some days I really wish I could be a stay at home wife and today was definetly one of them.

Uh Jonni
I am SO there. I am still working on a land appraisal that I should have easily had done by 11AM & here it is 7:45PM, and I am still working on it..Only saving grace is that appraisal is for a lawyer & they are not quite as high pressure as most loan officers I deal with.
BUT.. I am also excited about adding more raised beds & Jim called me in last night & asked me which mulching cart I would prefer for Valentine's Day!! So sweet, I didn't even ask for it.. He is truly in tune with my inner farmgirl lately. Plus for him, it beats going to the jewelry store or florist

I hear ya sisters...I think I have dust bunnies on my brain. I mailed out my reports on Friday, done with that...until April. Now I am thinking about summer projects and cant keep my mind on my work...I have got to get in gear, so I will have something report on in April!
I too would love to be a stay at home wife(daughter is grown)...if it wasnt for the darn insc. I would give it a try. But right now I dont think I will get to do that until I am old...old enough for Medicare. ha

Yes, I have days like that too. I like the term "good weekend hangover" - that really makes sense, and in a way it's nice to think that we can carry our good-time feeling from the weekend into the workweek. Tomorrow is hump day ... then another weekend, yippee, a three-dayer for those who get paid holidays...
