Hi Farmgirls-
I read in a magazine article about Mary Jane that her vegetarian marshmallow recipe would be in the book. I couldn't find it, although I haven't read the whole book yet. Can anyone help? I can't believe I'm already thinking about hot cocoa!
Thank you so much!
Nancy

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I was hopeful when I saw our local co-op carried handmade marshmallows, but they contain gelatin.

Wow, anybody that's thinking of making marshmallows in this humidity is my hero! I used to make our own, and they were such fluffy, light little clouds; but if I tried in the summer, the humidity caused the sugar coating to clump nastily. In the winter, I'd get a light dusting, like an early December snowfall.

Yeah, winter's coming; but I'd hold off on making any until after you get the pumpkins and gourds in.

Here in the Northwest, we don't have so much humidity to deal with, so just might work now. I know it's oppressive where you are. Sorry you have to wait!
