I have this wonderful little bowl my husband made back in highschool and in it are these little cards with a single word written on them. I call them my angel cards. The word is meant to be your word for the day..something to consider as you go about your routine. What I do is "chime in" with this nice little chime I have.. I take a deep breath, swirl the cards around and pick one. It is something I've been doing for years..my kids pick one everyday too and people who are familiar with them come over go right to the bowl, chime in and pick their card. We lay them out on the piano. It is a lovely little ritual..just thought I'd offer it up to you farmgirls..let me know! ~julia hayes

Ok, Julia. I'm sitting here thinking that I need something today--not feeling blue, just have so many ideas and need a word that might help me put them into PRACTICAL use....Let's see how I can adapt it to me...

Freedom is great. I've been thinking a lot lately about that word and what it means and how threatened it is nowadays. I'm baking banana bread, wheat bread and biscuits today to keep us free of chemical-laden foods.
I'm also trying to help a friend become healthy again so that she can be free of pain and pharmaceuticals.
Freedom can mean so much in so many different areas of our lives.

OHH!! My favorite word!! Seriously- spontaneity is my life!!( I think moving 4 times in 1 year to 2 different states on whim counts) Always on the go- Sheesh- I got ants in my pants again, so this is perfect!! Hmmm- maybe I will pack up the family and surprise DH with lunch while he is on duty...

What a loveley thing to do, Julia. If there are any words left in your bowl, could you choose one for me? This sitting with my foot in the air for days on end is a bit draining, physically and emotionally. I need a bit of a lift.
