It's a membership driven organic produce and products delivery service (called Farm Fresh Delivery) for the Indianapolis and surrounding areas....
So, if any of you live up that way, check it out, or even if you don't, check it out. We don't have anything like that here, just you pick CSA's, and there aren't any multi-services included like bakeries, honey producers or whatever....

My godson has terrible skin allergies, so she's been trying to feed him organically, and use organic skin care products--even ordering some kind of goats milk cream from austrailia--it worked and took care of his excema, so this is her next step.

I used to manage an organic produce delivery service in Spokane and it was fantastic, they are popping up everywhere. I have had this service as a customer in LA, Seattle, and Portland and it has made me a much healthier and more adventurous eater.

Wow, how lucky, Rebecca. I sure wish one was "popping" up around this area. Cincinnati just isn't there yet--Lexington and Louisville are probably more ahead of the game that way. Definitely Louisville. Unfortunately, I'm an hour and half away from that city, and I get stuck with the "stuffy" city!!!

| There are several CSAs in our area and I have friends who belong to them. I just never seem to have the cash in late winter when you have to sign up. |

I know, I'm sooo jealous. I love that they offer groceries to boot--that dairy is making me CRAZY. I may just have to drive there on a Saturday, take a cooler and get some products. I love those Brown Swiss Cows!!!!

Thanks for that link, Lisa...I've looked into a number of the CSA's in our area, but I work full time and don't have the $550 to work the farm AND my full time job...
I'll just supplement on our little plot until we get some more space :)

Oh yeah - I forgot about that Local Harvest website. There is a farmer in Lexington that has a CSA and it has been very successful. For those that want his info, let me know and I can email it to you. He is big into organic farming and supporting local people. Even though we had the drought last year, he used irrigation and that helped out tremendously. He had some extra stuff left over and ended up making jams and jellies and other stuff so this year he can add that in the baskets when customers pick up their goodies.
