Just curious if anyone does a tea like everyday? Like the british? I always need a lil snack and I think tea would be a good addition. Any ideas?

I used to drink Earl Grey everyday. Not like the British, but first thing in the morning. Nothing goes better with tea than scones!! It might be fun to see what some tea houses serve for their afternoon teas. Finger sandwiches, I am guessing. Google tea house menus or something similar. This might be a good reason for you to make lemon curd. mmmmm

not everyday, but i do have a cup of tea pretty often (had one this morning, in fact). i am simple in that i just use earl grey tea. some people sweeten the tea with honey and use a creamer. but i just like it plain.

I absolutely LOVE tea in the afternoon - around 3pm - and I do stop and have some most days. I make some mint tea for my little guy (he's 4) and we have a couple of cookies and tea. Like I said, not everyday, and sometimes earlier - sometimes later, but I find that I really like the "pick-me-up" of a black tea - right now, peachy black tea is my favorite. You could make some shortbread cookies..... You'll love it!

XOXO, Libbie

I usually have a cuppa around 4 pm. It's my afternoon pick me up--I do like black teas, so usually english breakfast or earl grey. Right now I'm drinking a special blend from the Elmwood Inn, in Perryville called Kentucky Blend. I drink tea with only cream. It's YUMMY.

I only drink herbal or rooibos tea..and LOVE the teas from teanoir at etsy.com...oh my..
my favorite right now is called carmel apple. Yep...it is wonderful. I usually have tea about 2 or 1:30..just before the kids get home from school...it is my quiet break before things get busy again. I usually add a little honey and sometimes a little cream, depending on the flavor.

I love tea in the afternoon, just about everyday. It's wonderful since I started working at school. The rooms are freezing and about 1:30 is a perfect time for a nice hot cup of tea. I've been trying lots of flavors. My fave du jour is the NutCracker sweet.

I used to do tea more often, but the moving and living out of boxes I have not had tea as often as I like. However, I do plan to enjoy more often after we get moved and things settle down. I usually just had tea and scones, oh I adore Stash Teas. I have tried quite a few of their flavors and liked if not loved all of them. And I usually just make some of my cream scones to go with it. I posted about having tea and scones on my blog recently.

For awhile there we had tea every afternoon (need to get back to that) now we have tea every sunday morning for breakfast. Sometimes contential(sliced meat and cheese, toast, jelly, etc) sometimes just gingerbread. We do take it as the British do with cream/milk and I find I don't really care for straight tea so much anymore. My 18yr old had her 15th at a tea room, hats and all, and we both work at Abilene's Victorian Inn which is planning to open a tea room sometime this spring. My 8yr old still drinks cambric tea mostly but we tend to do PG tips and roobios together for Sunday's, I love Nutcracker Sweet too, and one called Winter Blend from White Lion.

Love tea! Such a nice respite in today's world,

Holly

I am a bonifide "tea addict"!!!

I usually have earl gray or other black tea in the morning. I LOVE the Celestial Seasonings "Nutcracker Sweet". It has a vanilla/nutty taste to it.
I have a cup of green tea in the afternoon. I have a blueberry flavored one right now.Yummy!.
In the evening, I have a decaffinated-usually an herbal tea or rooibos.

When I go to Vermont, there is a tea shop called "Vermont Liberty Tea Company". They have the cutest shop, and they make a yummy tea called "Fruit and Lavender Rooibos". It's decaf, and so nice in the evening. They have a website-www.vermontlibertytea.com.

Cheers!

I drink tea anytime, morning noon and night. My mom drank lots of tea and we use to get to be grown up and drink some with her for a treat. I really enjoy one made by a tea house her Almond Rocker. It is great, but just a reg black tea, earl gray, english breakfast, daarling, spelled that wrong, yep enjoy tea and then using all those teas for iced during the summer.

I had a "tea" for my daughter. She had been out of the country for 3 yrs and had got to spend very little time with our family. She is 28 and did not really care for a wedding shower so I had her a tea. Mostly just a special gathering so she would visit with family. We are country folks so it was informal, but so nice. I just about worked myself to death. lol....I done all the food but it made special memories for her. I wished I knew how to post pics here, I would share them...oh, I will post on my blog. so ck it out. if they are not there ck back in a few.

I have visited a few tearooms with the sanwiches, and scones and such. I prefer just a cup of tea. In the AM I like english breakfast tea with milk. Later in the afternoon or evening I enjoy herbal. I prefer loose tea,but it is hard to find unless I go into Atlanta. My son got me tea and coffee for Christmas. I got 4- 120z bags of starbucks and then a green tea sampler. It had 6 cute little tins with different flavors of green tea. Right now I'm drinking raspbery green tea. Since he will be in Iraq until next Jan. I'm gonna try to make it last and have a little each day. I guess it's kind of a way to be close to him while he's gone.

I quit coffee three months ago and now only drink hot tea and distilled water. I prepare my tea with the distilled water also.

My favorite right now is Earl Grey but I enjoy British Breakfast, Green tea, white tea, Roobios and Blueberry. I found a Green tea with Rose Petals at Krogers grocery. It's very good!

I usually enjoy just the tea alone. It truly soothes the soul.

I love tea, though don't drink it every day. Lately I have been drinking Red Raspberry tea for the health benefits during pregnancy. I also enjoy regular tea, green tea, and herbal teas. A great place to buy bulk herbal teas (and wonderful tea blends) is www.morethanalive.com

I've been a tea granny since I was five years old! drinking tea and playing cards with all my great-grannies after kindergarten =;-)
I drink a cup or two of tetley ever morning with a bit of milk and sugar (or honey), I drink herbal tea like peppermint or raspberry zinger most of the day, and anywhere between 4-5pm I stop and have a cuppa. This year I am determined to drink loose tea at teatime, often I get lazy and go for the tetley. I usually have cookies with my tea or a sweet, occasionally I'll make something a bit more substantial like cheese on toast, or welsh rarebit.
The fella and I also make chai tea lattes at home sometimes, it's easy with a little milk frother.

I have a cup of tea most days, usually in the evening after supper. My favorites are Constant Comment, Morrocan Mint Green tea and Nutcracker Sweet or Candy Cane.

Ahhhh, tea. Us Brits have it flowing through our veins! Your every day Brits will always 'have the kettle on' and tea will flow all day. Now, a formal afternoon tea would consist of stopping everything and sitting down to scones (preferably with Devon or clotted cream & jam) finger sandwiches, biscuits (cookies) and some nice strong Darjeeling or maybe Earl Grey but you won,t find any flavored/herb teas at a traditional afternoon tea. I have tried many American teas for my everyday cuppa and have found the closest is Tetley British or Classic blend (with milk of course!)I just love to sit down and enjoy a nice cup of tea. It 'restoreth my soul' so to speak!
I am so glad that not everyone has jumped ship and is swimming in coffee!

Fresh perked coffee in the morning and loose tea the rest of the day. I splurged this year and bought a water heater with specific temps for all types of teas. I love to buy teas at Teava stores when I get to the mall but other wise bags from the grocery store will do.

Tea is my beverage of choice hot or cold. I'm not a coffee drinker so I enjoy a hot cup every morning with hubby as he's having his caffeine laden coffee fix.

My present favorites are blueberry teas from The Republic of Tea.

Oh goody! I have afternoon tea every day. I have never been to Britain, but I've been reading British literature ever since I was a little girl. The Victorian romance of tea just gets me or I get it, whichever. I do it around 4 pm when the girls come home from school. Before that it was a bit earlier. But they always have such varied lunch periods, that they were hungry but not enough for supper. Our favorite teas are English Breakfast and Earl Grey. I usually have one sweet and one savoury. Tomato and mayo sandwiches are the summer ultimates though.

I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by. ~anon

I wish I liked Darjeeling...I've given it so many opportunities, and it just tastes like perfume to me. Boo.

There are plenty of others out there, though!
