It is one of the biggest shows in the us, people come there from all over the world. I have done either 20 or 22 shows there and came home with big bucks, I would just like to go one more time, I met a lot of good buyers there . That is where I met Mary Jane, Have you ever met her.Jessie wrote tonight she is so excited she won the tree contest , I am glad for her she is a goodie, she probably could ask me for the moon and I would give it to her if I could, I think I read that your husband played music, I live down the road about 3 miles from the KY Head Hunters

Is it Roundtop? I can only imagine how fun that must be....Nope, I've never had the luck of meeting Miss Mary Jane...I really wanted to attend Frannie's get together back in the Autumn, but this pesky full time job thing made it impossible. We had gone on vacation for the first time in years and I used up all my time in September--I don't like to bend the rules for anything, so I didn't call in sick like I really wanted to :)

I'm sure Jessica is SO excited! I would be too--he tree was just lovely. I think we're going to try to get together sometime soon, she lives not far from me at all, and there are stock dog trials at Pleasant Hill in May that I'd like to go to. It's a great photo op for her.

Yep, Jus plays music. He has a song called Borderlands about our travels through Kentucky. Made me cry like a baby the first time he played it sitting on the couch. Still does. I always liked the Kentucky Head Hunters--they sure are hoopin' and hollerin guys, aren't they???

Jonni yes its the round top shoe I am telling you it is something, Do or have you been to the Burlington KY Antique show?If so you have probably seen me I did it for around 20 years and am planning to go back in April You know I got to go thru all the training days with the head hunters , W e had tobacco crops on their grand mothers farm across the road from the old house they played in, Freds wife Marla comes over to the shop pretty often they are a long family of antiquers, Miss EFFIE the grand mother taught me a lot when I first started in antiques, lots of good stories there You will like Jessie she is a sweet girl, I have loved her since the first time I saw her, Would love to hear your husbands song My son writes songs and did have a little band but He fell in love and has moved to Lexington so thy just kinda went seperate ways, He is really good on his guitars, My husband has an old Martin D---47, In 10 years he can play sorta one line Ha You would dearly love Mary Jane and Family its like we have known them all our life and they seem just like our own family.

Yep, Miss Wilma, I've been to Burlington but it's been a while...so you're heading back in April? I'll make sure to hit it, then. I used to get up with the chickens to go!!!

That's really cool about the headhunters...that's what's great about them, I think. They don't stray too far from their roots. I was never a big fan of Billy Ray Cyrus, but admire him for the same thing. Dwight Yoakum, well, he's cute as a dickens, but he's pretty Hollywood, now :)

I'll send you Jus' cd, Miss Wilma. The rest of the music is kinof like Motown meets Bob Dylan and there's nothin' wrong with that, but it might be a little too rockin for ya. Borderlands is worth the whole cd to me ;)...and um, Jus would be SO jealous of your husband's guitar. I may just have to drive him down there so he can just touch it, if that's alright. He has a 1969 Gibson gospel, but, well....you can't touch those old Gibsons with a 10 foot pole!!!

Oh! I'm going to keep this between us for just now...if I tell him, I know what he'll say..."well, that's not a far drive at all. What are they doin' this weekend?"!!!

I have no doubt about the offer--I would wager it's considerably higher now, Miss Wilma. I have a friend who is a luthier over in Rising Sun, and he's very trustworthy--he actually worked on Jus's gibson and is an expert on vintage string instruments if your ever interested in getting an idea about them.

What a hoot--it was EXACTLY like I said, Miss Wilma. When I told Jus about your husband's guitars, he said, "what are they doing this weekend?" I just roared!

I'm sorry that you got slighted on that one, Miss Wilma. I have done the same thing many a time...like I said, Jamison is an expert with old string instruments--last year, an old farmer brought in a Gibson to him to "fix up" for display. It had been his fathers, and it sat in the barn for about 40 years. Jamison recognized it immediately, even under all the muck. He ended up helping the farmer sell it to a private collector for over $100,000.00.

I'd be very glad to give you his information. He's such a neat person, I instantly felt a rapport with him, and he's very genuine. I'll send it to you privately, Miss Wilma, and you can contact him at your leisure.
