As I was driving to work today, I had to drive past huge piles of snow from the snow plow. Most of you are used to seeing huge snowdrifts from parking lots. This snowdrift was _at least_ ten feet high if not higher, and get this- It wasn't in a parking lot! It was along side the road from the snow plow! Yup! 10 feet worth of snow just from a narrow country road barely wide enough for two cars!

Right now my car is stuck in the snow at the base of the hill, but once I get it free as I am heading home today, I will take a picture with my car as a reference.

And we are supposed to get MORE snow Wednesday and Thursday so I am sure the drift will grow even more!

We had my youngest ds home for christmas this year (yippee!!) and we drove him back as far as Pocatello ID where he had left his truck (met us part way). Well, he called when he got almost home to Jackson WY and all the roads into Jackson were closed!! Poor kid - he had been on the road a day and a half, then got within 20 miles of his house and couldn't make it the rest of the way home. I told him to pull over and hunker down with his Siberian Husky - she would keep him warm! Well, he finally made it home late last night. Bet he sleeps for two days!

Sherri-

The roads into the Tetons are pretty amazing, but can be treacherous in winter. I am so glad he got home safe and sound! Those guys that clear the highway and such around Jackson sure have to know their stuff!
