I decided to embroider it. Easier said than done. I'm a nitpicker so getting every single line and dot in Ms Cute Hen was hard, but she came out even cuter. Then my problem was that last year I tossed my very worn and falling to pieces jean jacket and anything else would not do. I decided I needed one, which is not easy considering that jean jackets are scarse at this time of year, but I have found that if I really want something I will attract it. I went to the coat area and walked straight into one that was half off, almost my size (I'm chubby-I'm not fat regardless of what the doctors say) and meant for teenage girls (lots of ornamentation). I bought it moved buttons, got rid of some, cut off (carefully) all the extras and ended up with just the perfect jacket for Ms Cute Hen. Looks perfect with the apron I just finished. Happy can be easy.

I am going to make a pin out of mime, so I can transfer it if needed. Sound like you have a plan. Have fun!

Mine is sitting here waiting for life to slow down. I am not sure where I will put her though. I am looking for a great jacket pattern for myself. I will know it when I see it, but just havent seen one that strikes me yet!

Debi,

I like the pin idea for the badge. What materials would I need to make mind into a badge?

I embroidered (and am still) working on mine--I'm having a large denim tote bag made for all my sewing, mags, etc...by my friend Julie Judge. She using jeans I can't fit into anymore , and an old belt from the thrift store for the handle. I'm going to sew it onto that--I have a denim jacket, but I don't wear it frequently, and I can't think of other garments that I WOULD wear frequently enough to show off my patch. A bag on the other hand (is still within the rules)and I can take it everyday to work, and then also use it for overnight travel, etc....

I plan to embroider mine...starting tonight while we watch family movies for New Year's eve. I have my second hand denim jacket ready to put it on. I am going to add a little old lace to the collar too. I can hardly wait to wear it to town!!

Got the jacket, got the patch - have not got the time yet! But all in good time! :)

Jenny, it would be fun to sit with you and your family and stitch tonight! I would bring the corn for popping!

Donna, I going to embroidery it first and then for backing i going to use white wool felt, with a stablizer in the center and sew it to one of those from craft fairs that lock. I also plan to but lace and button on it. I thought about embroidery chicken wire on it where it looks it behind the hen and wording.

I'm about half done mine. I made the dashes surrounding the logo into a "vine" of sorts and put leaves and little flowers around it. So far so good, just need to tackle this hen here and hopefully when she's done she'll still look like one! lol

Funny, this morning I pulled my patch/badge out of my "To Do" pile,,,but stiil don't know what to do with it after I get around to stitching it. I had bought a denim jacket several months ago, but I ended up sewing yoyos on it so now I am back to what to do.
Maybe I will make a simple vest that I can attatch the badge & possible future badges to.
"course I still need to stitch it....I like the "button" idea. hmmm,,,must start thinking about this.

Mine is gonna be a pin too and I like the idea of attaching it to my purse or sewing tote.

I love the pin idea (I'm stealing it) and I also love the idea of making the dashed lines into a vine! I'll be stealing that one too!
