| If you all could spare a few prayers for my husband and I, he has been very sick since yesterday evening. He seems to have a flu-type virus, with a fever and a bad cough. He plays drums in one band and sings and plays guitar for another (which I'm in too). BOTH bands are scheduled to play tonight at 9 PM and it's an important show. My husband swears he will be there "as long as I can stand up", but since he hasn't been out of bed for more than 20 minutes all day I'm not sure that's going to happen. Please think of us tonight! I don't want him to pass out on stage. And I don't want us to suck either. |

Thanks for the support everyone. It went unbelievably well. Both bands sounded really good and the headlining band was impressed with how many people we drew. So this may turn into a regular opening gig.
I was really worried about my husband. Even as we were driving to the club, he was so weak and feverish. I was thinking, "what are we doing? how are we going to pull this off?" But somehow he played for two hours and felt great while he was doing it. Either adrenaline or the grace of God, I guess. Of course, he's feeling lousy again today. But he's on the mend now.

Yes, glad to hear that the shows went well. I hope it turns out to be a regular gig for you all. And I'm glad he's on the mend.

| He's STILL sick and now I'm getting it too. We thought he might have strep throat because we just learned that my brother had that over Christmas. He went to the doctor this morning, but the quick culture was negative. I won't be suprised if it grows out into a positive in the next day or two. We have another show this Saturday night, so I hope one of us at least will be healthy! |
