I'm kind of stumped as to how to clean them. I had mentioned that I collect them in another post and I have several that were made with real fuzzy feathers (you all have seen them in the stores this time of year?). I have a few that are several years old now, and their wings are looking quite dingy. Do you think I could swish them in soapy water and dry them with a hair dryer to fluff them back up? Or is there another way to clean them without water? Vacuuming them off didn't do much.

How about a gentle hair dryer blowing from a distance? I used to have some delicate figurines and I would use a small artist fan brush to gentel clean them. Or a soft, small child's toothbrush.

Cheers,
Heather

Lisa, I know there is a spray that you can clean your silk flowers with. I wonder if that would work on feathers. Don't have it myself, my aunt does. Maybe checking in a craft shop.

I didn't know that Michele. I always just ran my silk flowers under water and let them drip dry! I will check with the craft stores.

The toothbrush and blowing the angels off hasn't worked, Heather. Thanks, though. The really fuzzy parts of the wings are flat out gray and just look awful. I was thinking last night about this- I've had those angels for 15 years, now. No wonder they look so bad.
