We got over a foot yesterday and last night! It's so beautiful. I was gift wrapping yesterday, so it was perfect. And it's a nice cozy day today, perfect for cookie baking. ;-)
I want to go out and play so badly! But I'm sick as is my youngest dd. I'm hoping the snow will stick around until my girls are on Christmas break so we can go snowshoeing! (I only know of one place that rents them during the week - any Chicago girls know of some place that rents them on the weekends?)
We got about 8 inches here just southwest of the city. It was quite beautiful snowing all afternoon & night. But, we had friends over for dinner and had to plow the driveway out before they could leave! Thankfully they got me home safely. With these chilly temps we are getting, I think it's safe to say the snow will be here for awhile.
We got covered in it too :) It's so pretty but kept us from driving back home today so we've got to stay one more night at our parent's house and head down in the morning. It was nice to get to go out and play in it today!
I am more then willing to share our snow with you Kay! It does look like a beautiful winter wonderland here. We are getting a few flurries right now. Yesterday was very cold, but bright & sunny. This has been our snowiest December in about 6 years. I think IL is in for a white Christmas!

Wow! A foot of snow on the ground is great! We don't get those huge storms here very often! I know it is probably from the lake effect for you Chicago girls, right?
