I love the old classic movies, and wondered what the rest of you like to watch for Christmas. It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite, but I sure would like to watch some that I've never seen.

Oohhhh, I love It's a Wonderful Life; there are also a number of classic renditions of The Christmas Carol. I enjoy White Christmas, Holiday Inn and Christmas in Connecticut...

There's probably more that will pop into mind later!

white Christmas is my favorite. My sister and i even did a rendition of the "sisters" number for a talent show when we were in high school along with another set of sisters that were the same age as us! Also love Christmas Story, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, and Home Alone which I guess are old enough to be considered classics now!

White Christmas is my favorite, with A Muppet's Christmas Carol with Michael Caine coming in a close second. I have never been able to watch It's a Wonderful Life all the way through. And I love Jimmy Stewart. Just not in that one. Sad, I know.

I love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, too! The year that it came out, we had a terrible ice storm and our furnace went out, so we got to go to a hotel in Nashville the night before Christmas Eve because it was too cold to be in our house, and my whole family went to see it in the theater. Now, every year when we get together we watch it. I think I know every line. ;)

It's White Christmas for me followed by any other Christmas movie that I can possibly watch. I love Christmas movies. Last night I watched Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck. If you haven't seen it you're in for a treat.

It's a Wonderful Life is my all time favorite..but I also love Christmas Story, and both versions of the Grinch, and last night watched one called SnowGlobe that was really cute! Usually I am not crazy about the newer ones...but that was a cute one.
The Santa Clause Movies (all three) are favorites with my family too...we will watch almost any Christmas movie!!

It's a Wonderful Life is one of my favorites, along with the Christmas Story.

But no Christmas is complete without viewing National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Ok, Little Women (the newest version with Susan Sarandon), Holiday Inn and my new Favorite, Olive, the other Reindeer (with voices by Michael Stipe of REM and Drew Barrymore)...it's cooky, but VERY cute.

For us, it isn't Christmas without:
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
Charlie Brown Christmas

I really enjoy the Beaumont University (Tennessee)'s Christmas Concert that they host on PBS each year.

Not always considered Christmas Movies maybe..
Although thats where I 'file' them.. One is the Original "The Bishops Wife"
I LOVE this movie!

i do love the funny ones that make us all laugh sees as though my favorite one to play over & over again lately is "Elf" with Will Farrell.. although not a classic yet.. It is hystarical! I love his whole 'who cares, no inhabitions.. innocence' in this movie!

Ohhhhhh ~ it is so hard to choose. But I think I would have to say Little Women (the original version)... and It's a Wonderful Life ... and Miracle on 34th Street (original version). I knew I couldn't choose just one!

Kay, the same day I posted that I wanted to see Christmas in Connecticut, I saw it was in the free movie section on my cable providers "on demand". You're right, what a great movie!

I think that "Christmas Story" is my favorite. It's so close to the realities of my childhood.....for escaping to that wonderful world of Hollywood I like "Holiday Inn", "Christmas In Connecticut" and "Miracle on 34th. Street". I also like to watch "Meet John Doe". Aside from loving Gary Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck(best clothes in the movies). The hope and good old American spirit in that one makes me feel good.
